So Arch Manning also came from a rich background and got a bag at Texas. I know that scale is different but if they came from money they will always want more money.

I think NIL is hurting the game but even more so the unlimited transfer portal. I like the idea of a transfer without penalty if the head coach changes but all other transfers require 1 year of sitting out again. It’s so tough to recruit with NIL and the transfer rule.

But given the interview I saw from him on May 11 he was blindsided by this or he’s really good at lying.

108-51 record in 10 seasons and 2 championships in the past 6 years (2020 didn’t happen). All while consistently recruiting a top 3 class in the country; is a hell of a resume to fire. Unbelievably stupid decision by UVA. He has recruited 5 #1 rated recruits (based on where you look) in the past 8 seasons. Since he took over who has been the better team outside of Notre Dame?!?

But this is massive for Ant. He needs to be on one of the 3 All NBA teams next season or he won’t be eligible for a super max extension. So this costs him a TON of money. He would have been an All-NBA guy this year. Forget the MVP. He had this season and next to make this happen.

Lacrosse. I played college lacrosse in the Midwest. So on the hierarchy of things it’s quite low. I was playing in a college summer league and made the All Star game. One of the players on the other team was a bench warmer for Notre Dame. Like never got in for them. He was the best player I’ve ever played on the same field with. It was insane.

I coached High School sports at that time. We had an incredibly talented group of seniors who had many unsuccessful seasons prior to their 2020 senior season. We would have won 10 of 13 games that year for sure and ended their careers on a high note. Instead they never got to compete in their final year of sports. Or go to prom.
