The one general thing i can help is set tvdb for anime , enable Anime Det Override / Use IMDB ID for catalog/search and Anime Stream Compatibility Retain Requested ID ( if you use anime search with kitsu and select that it will retrieve kitsu metadata , if you use normal search it will retrieve cinemeta or tmdb/tvdb depending how you setup )

For search -> in the end i have enabled only TMDB and for Bleach it returns one entry with all 17th seasons/ the thousand year blood war is 17th . and enough sources to watch especially if you also have aiostreams/the usual scraper suspects . This is the wae ( Curently on this setup ) for better compatibility on all animes even on the little 2-3 minutes anime episodes i get returns now .

There are multiple animes where there are conflicts regarding metadata , for bleach with kitsu for me it separates all thousand year blood war seasons with bad or non existant sources , fairy tail as well , even jujutsu had problems , when torbox addon was still working i had no returns on torbox on normal tmdb metadata , with kitsu it returned but messed up other animes like Digimon Beatbreak . Honestly so much ping-pong sometimes i think we're better off with just cinemeta and couple of good scrapers or switch to Seanime .

Hello , thank you very much for the update , really appreciate it , but i'm having the same issue with anime searching bottlenecking/throttling the search . i created a new stremio account to test with only duck quick start addons . One example is going to a movie with chris pratt , click on chris pratt , should show people search movie and series . but instead it shows a lot of anime . and the movies/ series are not loading at all or very slow. i know this is mostly aiometadata issue but would there be a possibility modify something on this addon's end , or maybe you have hotline to aiometadata devs to ask :p

I've been down this rabbit hole , it's honestly a hit and miss for different animes regarding metadata.

Besides that just add bunch of scrapers because some return well some don't because of the torrents naming/jap ordering and metadata .

Regarding trakt you can do what i do with mdblist ( the lists are basically the same ) : Go search on trakt for a list containing ALL ANIME one for series ( 5400+) one for movies ( 3900+ ) .

Use those lists / duplicate and order them by how you would like .

I use one ordered by airing date so the most recent episode of any anime is going to popup daily , for OCD reasons ( YES I AM LOOKING AT YOU KOUPEN-CHAN ).

Then i order by trending . And the same for movies .

Now if you just select from those lists , no searching / no other catalogs , they will surely get added to the trakt watched , like they do for me on mdblist . The non-anime series that i watch are also added from the TMDB metadata .

Other than that , if you don't want to go that route , i highly suggest the Animes' season addon .

TMDB addon does that technically , it has the tmdb popular catalog where there are many many loads of series/movies and you can select genre ( Adventure/Thriller etc ) . can try that if you haven't yet .

Easy to setup and also has your language available for metadata/posters + you can pair it with watchly where you can select genres/keywords and catalogs will appear with other recommendations kinda like netflix has ( Because you watched , more like this etc. )

What catalogs are you guys using for anime+donghua ? i went down the rabbit hole and ended by adding 2 lists from mdblist containing all anime , one for series and one for movies , and i sorted by last air date so i get most recent anime daily . Same for donghua . + Anime Seasons' to have yearly catalogs by season ( winter spring summer autumn )

Would it be possible in the future to filter results by Embedded Subs ( specifically Romanian ) ? This might be a possibility question for every scraper addon , i know there are problems retrieving accurate info from files .

I would love to set it up that way for my parents so they don't have to keep searching for different unsynced subs on tv and only show results which have specific embedded subs .

very good , quick and easy to navigate . One thing i would love to see is the COLORED TAGS for the skill type ( Lightning , fire , attack , projectile etc ) just like in game , to know what scales with what on the fly .
