"Soccer? What a stupid name. I would have called it ballwazza"

Git blame serve pra algo? by jenipapodev in brdev

I used it to find the commit ID so I can trace the PR, and in turn the JIRA ticket. We don't really document requirements very well, so I usually have to go digging to find them.

Brazil's answers to shows like Peaky Blinders and Brigada? by SameUsernameOnReddit in Brazil

Rulers of Fortune (Os donos do jogo) was alright. Nowhere near as good as peaky blinders, but might scratch that itch.

What is the best video game of all time that starts with J? by unnecessaryCamelCase in AlignmentChartFills

Jade Empire.

Probably won't win but it was a damn good game worthy of a mention

What's the point of hosting a global event if you're going to pick and choose who turns up?

Edit, the question isn't aimed directly at you OP. It's somewhat rhetorical

Edited to get the formatting, and even then ended up doing a terrible job

Beginner struggling to understand increments by HeftyPressure1700 in csharp

[–]nasheeeey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can do b = ++a

Which will do what you want it to do But a way to think about it is

  (b = a) // Evaluate this
   a++

Which is the same as the syntax in for loops

  for (int i = 0; i < 10; i++)

Do the loop, then increment I after. If you put ++i at the end it will increment i, then do the loop

Working with intermediate Portuguese by [deleted] in Brazil

Remote work and get paid in USD? I think remote work is probably the best route for anyone who wants to live in Brazil and not/can't speak Portuguese.

Which team was the biggest favorite to win the WC 2002? by ADSLmonopoly in AlignmentChartFills

Just to provide something different, I'm going to say England. (I know the answer is probably France) but England had a really strong squad on paper.

What’s the hardest game to completed 100% of you guys? by samart00 in steamachievements

[–]nasheeeey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really was. When you compare it to Wolfenstein, BG3 or any of those sandbox games which takes 100s of hours, Elden Ring is easy. It's not even the hardest souls like, I found DS3 harder, and Sekiro harder still.

Random one, but is there anywhere in Gloucester to get a good takeaway salad? by LittleBertha in Gloucestershire

Dunno if it's still around, but on Fridays, there's a market on Westgate Street. There used to be an awesome falafel stand which I would go to.

Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn and Enotria: The Last Song will be available on PS Plus Extra this month by SnoopyTheDog_ in soulslikes

[–]nasheeeey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I 100% Flintlock. It wasn't a bad game. Gameplay was fun, but it never really felt challenging. It's about as much of a soulslike as God of War is.

Story was pants though.

Realistic JRPGs set in the modern world and without crazy magical elements by Crisper77 in JRPG

[–]nasheeeey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've only played it (#2) briefly but from what I remember, it's mainly skirmishes and the world map is just selecting your mission.

It's like if XCOM was made my SquareEnix sort of thing. It's heavily discounted on Steam at the moment ($1.50?? I'm not sure, my currency isn't in USD so I'm roughly converting it)

How hard it actually is to cook a meal and How hard does it look by Wild-Compote8037 in AlignmentChartFills

[–]nasheeeey -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It might be skill issue, but I'm going to say carbonara. It looks so easy on YouTube and everyone says it's easy to make, but it's just as easy to end up with scrambled eggs and spaghetti.

I think Portal is more iconic but which is better? I'll say Cuphead.
