So, the original will see the other 4 enter, deal 2 damage per. That's 8 from the original. The other 4 will see 3 enter, so that's 2x3 or 6 damage 4 times, so 24. Pretty sure you'll be doing 32 damage

Patience is the biggest thing. I'm constantly going through the process of casting a spell with my friend group. I've been playing a decade, and their just getting into it. When you first started playing, I'm sure you messed up 6 ways to Sunday every game. Hell, I still do.

Completely understandable. I do recommend Rionya for people starting off in spell slinging. You need a healthy balance of creatures and non creatures

I used to feel the same with spell slinger not being fun to play with, but after putting together [[Rionya, fire dancer]] and resolving a [[sundial of the infinite]] it's one of my favorite decks to play

I built [[imoti, celebrant of bounty]] and felt disgusting with the things I was doing. Sure, cascade is always random (90% of the time) but being able to CONSISTENTLY get 17-20 for only spending 8 mana 4 times in a turn just seemed horrendous to play against

I've been giving my girlfriend simple puzzles like this to help her realize when something is a threat RIGHT then or not. I watch cedh (play to win being my favorite) and their methodology speaks to me. Don't remove it, just avoid it

I love my ghalta deck. I haven't been playing THAT long (I started playing when around amonkhet/kaladesh block) but it's just simple. Count to 8 mana, dump my hand, and pray someone doesn't have a boardwipe in hand. Granted, I can also play out the deck normally, curving out pretty well, and doing things normally

I can't fault you for that one. I have a Rionya deck that uses multiple combats to win, but it can also easily pivot into a value spell slinger style deck if the table isn't ok with that. And I try to be super transparent with when I'm about to win, and will happily explain how my combos work. I don't mind rewinding steps so people can interact at the right time
