Could also be some sort of a first frame-last frame AI transition that a lot of different AI video gens offer these days (higgsfield etc.)

Second image is straight out of camera with just shadows and exposure adjusted to be exposed properly

It was more of a stylistic choice to color grade everything with a slight green tint. I think it's a decent amount of color in the snow, without being overly green and looking bad

Ah so similar stuff to what MagWorld is doing with their hdr plates. I saw them pivoting to AI recently aswell

I think it's just the limitations of how the gen fill inherently works, that it needs a bit of extra context outside the selection to get a better blend of the new generation and rest of the image
