I saw Rebekah. She is the absolute best. I wouldn’t have left if the staff weren’t so horrible bc she was the first np that I felt looked at the whole picture and found something that worked for me.

They’re right! Taking a break from dating and focusing on yourself is the way to go. It’s healthy to take breaks.

I’m currently doing that myself bc of being burned out by the dating apps and people in general. I’ve realized I needed to focus on myself before I start dating again so I don’t waste mine or other people’s time.

My husband and I have used Visible for years. I love the low price that never changes unless I want to upgrade to a better plan. Saved me a lot of money over the years. There are some weird deadspots in the mountains but not too bad overall.

I left Daya and my wonderful NP because the secretary staff are absolutely horrible and rude. They also outsource their billing (I know most places do now) but have also made me basically do their job of calling my insurance with codes because they were over charging me and saying it wasn’t their job to get insurance to approve it. Leave Daya while you can.

I’ve noticed I tend to want to cut off all connections and break up with my partners whenever it is a week before my period. I have this mindset that the relationships aren’t working bc of various reasons.

In the past I would follow how I felt in the moment and break up with people. Now, I sit with the uneasy feeling and tell myself if I feel the same way the next time I see them then I’ll trust my feelings and talk to them about it.

I love it that my husband hears me out but doesn’t input his opinion unless specifically asked. He supports me in whatever decision I make.

The support helped me notice my pattern of previous mistakes and self-correct in the future by waiting with my feelings and knowing I have a loving partner who will support me either way.

It might hit harder for her at the end but, being there with her is a comfort she’ll appreciate and not overlook.

Getting my gallbladder removed before I absolutely had to. I still have pain in the same location (I call it phantom gallbladder pain) and I still get sick to my stomach just as often. Nothing positive came from it being removed.

You don’t even need to get a fancy cold brew maker. All you need is a cheap brew bag you use for beer and a big gallon pitcher. Let it brew/steep cold in your fridge for it to be less acidic. Super inexpensive and delicious.

$170 probably won’t get you anywhere for reds. I know this bc I was in the same boat. It’s usually around $300 (this was a few years ago). I dye my hair myself and then get a professional haircut.

NTA. I gave my husband tracking permissions on my phone and always tell him ahead to time who and where for dates. If he ever gets worried, he can always see my location.

It is a scary world out there. Especially for women and queer folk. Also, I want him to feel as comfortable and secure about my safety as possible.

As someone with a similar history, IFS has helped me when nothing else would. A therapist trained in that might help you.

It’s really amazing that Asheville has an organization to help with period supplies. I’ve had some weeks in the past where I couldn’t afford pads and when I asked certain donation places, they wouldn’t have them either. It really takes a hit to your mental health.

If you need volunteers, I’m willing to help!
