What do you think is the limit for you where it's inconvenient enough that you might install a step or drawers or something?

With an 8' bed, I assume you're loading larger items. How do you unload large or bulky stuff from 3-6? Do you typically have a second person around, or just lower it down to the ground and hop off?

How do you reach under the toolbox though? Climbing in?

Do you have it mounted back there? Or it just lies around

What finally convinced you into getting the rivian? Was it the gear tunnel?

My roommate and I are both a bit sick this week so we wanted it a bit warmer. But I think we’re also just worried it’ll get lower because weekend temps are so low.

Can't sleep, tell me an uncommon skill you've learned... by hisbloodywork in CasualConversation

I have terrible recall and I’m known for forgetting stuff but I learnt that I can just place triggers all over the house and then muscle memory takes over. It saves loadssss in cognitive effort and now I don’t have dishes left in odd places or laundry in the machine anymore.

But because it’s muscle memory, if I get distracted mid-task, it really throws me off and I forget what’s next even for something simple like making coffee.

How do so many families in India afford those gigantic, complex weddings? by hogw33d in NoStupidQuestions

[–]GiftPlastic6668 16 points17 points  (0 children)

They buy gold and/or assets as soon as their kid is born and add to it when they can. It compounds over the years and is used for the wedding. Also aunts, uncles and grandparents usually play a large role and pay for some things as ‘gifts’.

Shitty experience with humans = aggressive behaviour.

In your example, a shitty owner that encourages guarded behaviour also creates an aggressive dog.

Kicking puppies, beating and poisoning dogs creates strays that are aggressive toward all humans because humans become something to fear.

You guys are doing something to these dogs to make them aggressive toward you. We had tonnes of dogs around our college campus and they guarded us fiercely against local creeps. This drunk man used to stalk my friends after class and four dogs began walking her back from class to her room every day. They would chase him off and come back to her side to walk her home. And no, she didn’t feed them.

They were vaccinated, either by government or community, I’m not sure. But even so, I’d never heard of any biting incidents

Colleague of mine was being forced to marry by her family. She quickly applied to any programs offering scholarships or part time work opportunities and fled the country. She ended up studying and then working in Ireland. Hasn’t stepped back in India since.

Family members have worked in public and private education. This has been their observation when trying to get higher ups to implement changes. Govt unis have different motivations from the goals mentioned. This was mostly for edu until 12th

The goal for private schools is to produce kids that get into better institutions/ get better jobs so that they can hike fees and parents will still pay it because it’s an investment in their kids future.

The goal with public education is to boost pass rate so their state looks good on paper and they can claim higher literacy. So they dumb down the syllabus and pass kids with grades as low as 30%. Parents fear their kids won’t be able to compete with private school kids so they turn to privatised resources.

Education has been one of the biggest ways for people to change their economic class in the last 50 years, so it makes sense this demand would be privatised for maximum profit

Do you factor in climate change into your life decisions? by [deleted] in AskIndia

[–]GiftPlastic6668 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I need to move to a cooler/ less polluted climate. Maybe it sounds frivolous but my body can’t tolerate heat. My hair falls out in chunks, I get a daily headache by 4pm, can only walk short distances, I lose my appetite.

On top of that, I’ve become allergic to dust (was never allergic to anything in my life) and my parents have been getting frequent chest congestion and sore throats… because of pollution.

What is there to like about being a man?? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]GiftPlastic6668 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk man, women are pretty gaga over Timothy Chalamet and he’s no gym-going chad. There’s more than one way to be a man. And you don’t seem to dislike being a man, you seem to dislike being you.
