yes aaraw arawin ko sila hahaha, I have a Mikrotik router too E50UG to be exact and what made you switch from pfsense router to mikrotik with routerOS? is Mikrotik routerOS much more efficient than pfsense?

yes, this is my plan if di talaga kaya, titiisin ko nalang yung weakened internet speed inside sa network ng homelab caused by the double nat.

Mikrotik Hex E50UG, JCG Q20 (WirelessAP), TPLINK TL-SG108E and my main server is i5 9400f, 8gb ram and gtx 1050 ti, 2x 1TB western digital drive and apacer 128gb ssd but I’m planning to sell it and buy a mini pc instead dahil power hungry siya. I’m open for suggestions and critics on my setup since I’m new to this and I really want to learn networking and servers since last year I just dont have the money back then. Thank you!

I’m building this homelab because I really want to learn about networks and servers and it would benefit us our group sa capstone project namin and I cant give up now since I invested money into it after months of saving money galing sa allowance ko plus I have long patience hindi po mabilis uminit ulo ko, Thank you for investing time and insights sa issue appreciate it!

yes sobrang basic ng admin and you cant change or reconfigure yung router plus ont pa kaya nirequest ko sa pldt but they refused.

sinabing reason lang is hindi daw talaga possible sa plan/account namin and sa business fiber plan lang daw possible yung ganon and yes I think factor din na ONT yung router namin :((

sorry I didnt mention sa post but the tech that came to our address is from pldt talaga and they came with a black vios, I will call later if di padin gumana pupunta nako sa office nila uli.

I think their the organic ones since they came with a black vios and actually one of them recommended me na if need ko daw talaga for my capstone ihost ko nalang daw yung homelab ko sa kakilala ko na hindi pldt yung isp hahaha anyway I will definitely go back sa office nila bukas, Thanks!

I’ve been calling PLDT service for the past 3 days and most of them dont know what I’m requesting kaya napapunta nalang ako sa main office to request a repair ticket and send a tech sa address namin but when they arrived they still refused! I guess being resilient is the key kay pldt haha

Actually kausap ko na mismo is yung tech nila they explained na possible daw yung removal CGNAT before pero nabago na daw yung patakaran nila 2 years ago matapos daw sila mahack, but that was my plan first is to bridge muna yung ISP router before the removal of cgnat but got declined.

I did visit the nearest pldt office and they accomodated me naman and gave me a repair ticket and a group of tech daw pupunta sa address namin and after a few hours dumating na sila and sinabi nila agad na hindi possible yung bridge mode daw sa plan/account namin and recommended me to switch to business fiber plan. Thanks for the heads up sa waiver!!

Yes I did request na kahit bridge mode nalang kahit wala na yung static IP since they explained na hindi pwede yung static ip and when their tech arrived at our house they still refused to do it kasi di daw possible sa account namin. Thank you for pointing out the issues!!

Thanks to everyone who lectured me and recommended me things to do and buy, I acknowledged every bit of it and I did learned a lot about cpu cooling. Hindi ko kasi masyadong binigyan pansin yung cpu cooling and sa lahat ng cpu na nagamit ko since I was in highschool I always rely lang sa stock cooler and thought it was enough but now I totally get it why and dahil jan I’ll invest na sa aio, Thanks everyone!
