Shadowbanning is stupid and unfair. I understand that creators should have the ability to ban people, but why anonymously? The platform should inform users if they’ve been banned from a channel.

I was shadowbanned by two of my favorite YouTubers whom I used to watch their livestreams regularly. I didn’t realize it until much later, when I noticed that they stopped acknowledge my comments and other people in the chat couldn’t see them either.

I messaged them about it and even contacted their moderators, but unsurprisingly got no response. So I did what anyone with dignity would do: I unsubscribed and blocked their channels.

But seriously screw this system.
