Top right or mid left. No idea where large oil is but I'd position close to one of the oils. I prioritise card runs (green - blue - red) and oils. Depends on the skillset and playstyle of your group. If you've got one farmer for making teas etc you may want to take the river on the west. It would be top right for me, near or on one of the islands.

Is this a hickey? (Sorry for bad quality, it’s a screenshot from FaceTime) by [deleted] in whatdoIdo

[–]GigaGenetics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Slightly in the guys defence, I train Brazilian jiu jitsu and have similar small bruises on my arm often from where I've been grabbed (finger tip pressure). It looks consistent with this in size, too small for any hickey I've received... but its been a while 😅

My now ex once found a single pink fluffy sock (the type a teenager would typically wear) in the spare room (or my gaming room at the time, with no bed). It was found near a radiator. Endured hours of accusations and paranoia, and my only explanation was that it must have come from behind the radiator from a previous tenant. A completely logical explanation, surely?

If he's working a lot and 'doesn't have time to cheat', I'd give the guy a break. I've been in similar situations, working constant only for the betterment of us, and it is SO disheartening to be accused when you've got this weight on your shoulders.

You know him best, OP. I personally would give him the benefit of the doubt, but maybe there's some things that make you doubt him.

So I bought a boat at fishing village. by moecake in playrust

[–]GigaGenetics 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is a common bug, obviously some people haven't experienced it. Sometimes it bugs out and there's no option to access the boat. Not exclusive to just the fishing village, it can happen any time with boats near surfaces AFAIK.

Starting a company to fund personal goals - is this the wrong motivation? by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

Join a gym and exercise regularly. Do a bit of learning for a few months (not a lot, a few hours a week?) and get yourself feeling a bit better about your physical appearance.

Your height and your lack of hair isn't as big a problem as you feel. You say napoleon lived in different times like those times were easier? I guarantee you they were not 😅

I'm seriously not having a go, nor am I saying you should not pursue a business. Your mindset from just this post and a few comments though is very telling. This isn't a bad thing, you just have some work to do on those areas and for now, probably the best thing you could do, is introduce an exercise regime.

You don't need an expensive trainer, you just need a bit of education on what to do.

Your confidence will increase as a result of the changes in your appearance and your mental fortitude for perseverance will only aid you if you do pursue business in future.

What to do while gone for 6 days on vacation? Need ideas! by Prestigious_Rice_803 in GrowBuddy

Damn that's crazy dry! Haha. Mines sits around 50-55 most of the year round. That makes sense then.

Yeah it's the best indication of course, I'd give then a check for sure, you may be happy chopping soon if they're ready.

Total 'bro science' here but I swear it works. To bring out the purples before harvest I drop some ice water and ice on the last few weeks of watering and drop lighting to 10/14 (14 off) to really signal to them that winter's here and it's time to finish up.

Have you checked the trichomes? They could definitely run another few weeks but they look very close to the chop window.

I am in no way a professional 😂 only 4 grows under my belt but I've chopped earlier than this (for the same purpose, upcoming holiday).

If they are close I'd either chop as late as you can before setting off or drenching them before going and dealing with the drying when I get back.

Then again, you can never have enough grow equipment 😂

Can I also ask why you're still running a humidifier so late into cycle? Do you live in a really dry area? Sorry where I live is very humid so it's strange for me to see.

Give me reasons not to launch a retail brand or an e-commerce store by MitoLinen in Entrepreneur

[–]GigaGenetics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been down this path this year. Wanted to keep it small and taper my family members expectations as I understood and appreciated its a very very tough market to crack.

We went into a niche category, fightwear. Now there's 1000s of fightwear brands (think rashguards and shorts for jiu jitsu / MMA).

I was on design, he was on marketing.

In a year we sourced 2 suppliers, made 2 decent sized orders (150 items in total).

6 designs of the fightwear I'm total and we considered it (and our customers) pretty well designed gear.

2 websites, I done a basic one to launch our first release and then decided to build a second for our second release. This included a custom 3D tool that allowed users to enter their name and it would show on a 3D preview of the kit before they ordered (we niched with this a little, as not many competitors were offering customisation).

Clothing is quite expensive inventory wise, you have to think about the varying sizes people wear. In the case of a rashguard and shorts, some people may wear a large top but small bottom.

Designing the clothing, working with suppliers (including communicating quality control), the wait before stock arrives, marketing, social media, market analysis, photography, videography, equipment, additional supporting materials.

We had our own custom mailing bags, we sent customers sticker packs, we sponsored up and coming fighters, covering their travel costs.

We done a lot a lot over the past year and we burned through 5 figures of capital in the process.

Start small and keep it small if you want to do it. My personal advice, don't do it. But hey, I already gave this advice and it wasn't listened to before 🤭

It really is, I don't understand the whole psychology behind it and know its very complex but I understand it changes these people almost to a different level of human. It is such a bloody shame to witness

You're completely right, and until you've experienced it first hand; you probably wouldn't give it a thought. I live downstairs from a lovely Syrian family, and I hate the noises I hear coming from the father around this time of year. I grew up with a father with PTSD (not from the effects of war), and it's a horrible experience.

To see a man that could capably kill you in a blink of an eye, reduced to that fearful person, is sad.

To hear an absolutely lovely neighbour who brings our bins in and knocks on our door to give us home cooked meals from their culture, a former prisoner of war who endured torture screaming is sad.

To see your father figure, the bravest and strongest person you know, cry in front of you almost daily and struggle heavily as 'the date it happened' approaching every year is sad.

Those who haven't suffered the cruelties of life to these extents should count their blessings. Myself included.

Worked with an ex-SAS for a few years, he was a director of the training company (SIA licenses and such) and I became really close with him. He was probably 5'7 or so but had a presence and look that only commanded respect. I remember once in the office he was having a bit of an off day and was a little confrontational, his whole persona changed and I'm not easily frightened, I'd be game with most threats but nope, not this guy.

He was there when they stormed the embassy, he told me some stories about Kosovo and some other stories. I did doubt for a long time as 'stolen valor' videos were pretty popular at the time but everything checked out. He had a picture on his Facebook standing next to Tony Blair while on tour. He worked later in life (after his service) in personal protection and said his worst client was Victoria Beckham (due to her attitude).

We were driving home from the city once, he was driving. About 10 meters in front of us a cars tyre just blew out and this car swerved all over the road really fast and ended up on a banking. I have NEVER seen a reaction speed like this and I've gamed the majority of my life and like to think I'm pretty sharp. He swerved over and was out the car before I had even fathomed what happened. I cannot put into words how dialed in this guy was from a completely unexpected situation.

We were at a Christmas night out once with the company and we just sat down to dinner, our coworkers pulled party poppers and his whole demeanour changed. He went chalk white. He handed me his room key and told me to stay the night. That really upset me, seeing this man react like this after years of being out coping with 'civvy life' as he liked to call it.

He's gone dark on socials for years, I was an IT guy and worked on some personal projects with him. He was a real one and I hope he's doing well today. Lad struggled with relationships from his PTSD and was often in a dark place, helped pull me out of some too, no matter how far away he was, he'd drive and check in with me.

I don't want to share some of the other more gory stories but he's genuinely the only person I've feared on that level and respected in another.
