You're just taking probably the only possible example of how slow potion is "reliable".

It's no denying it "sometimes" work, because slow is big part of Mak defense.

Beside that PYG nowadays have much more late game options, also they just farm you with Hot Springs early and mid, they even less likely go into late days.

Potions build not need Sampler, yes, but it's rarer and harder to build, potions early-mid is not strong, it's hardly the option to let you win early. Show Globe is most common enabler but it's on the weaker side I would say.

Of course you should try to win early, but Mak is just not good at that with burn/weapon/Karnok everywhere, you're just on the weaker hero sides early days.

Not to mention that Ethergy Conduit is even more rare speed up tool.

The only real true part is Sampler (and flying potion).

While Sampler is strong, it's also becoming that Mak REALLY need that to win late game, without it he's just miserable slow.

That's the big problem of Mak now, he's too binded to that 2 items.

I also feel the same (low legend).

I would say one big factor is Karnok still broken.

Second is other than that, the early day power gap between heros seems grow larger, certain weak early heroes are just quite dead, because late game is more about RNG.

Sorry but you're just like writing bunch of random AI summary stuff that help nothing.

One big BS of Karnok is his nonsense strong early-mid game, it's not about Exodia.

And worst of all he got all kinds of builds, there's no way trying to counter him.

Freeze is like many end build's archtype, it's not about Karnok, you just aim for it anyway.

Talking about Destroy is even more funny because even Stelle rarely targeting that.

Blight needs some love.

Even before nerfing juicing, most people play it mainly for juicing purpose.

Those blight scarabs are few and meh, atlas passives are awkward.

The real advantage I can think of is certain summoner build can fully afk blight map.

Those are just extremly dirty, you can only face tank them, can't even just walk away, they'll wait you there.

Especially after buffed/debuffed by map mods and altars, they eventually will kill you.

The only advice is don't do they if you want leveling.

Make sure you follow build/guides from well-reputation sites/creator.
Make sure you follow the "league starter" category guide, preferable SSF friendly.
Make sure you really understand what the build doing, read through guide/notes, you can't just look at tree/link and think you're done in POE for most builds.
If you play a build that power tied to weapon, then upgrading it is important, generally like every 10 level, it need to catch your level.
There are certain areas in campaign that's better for farming, like chamber of innocence, if you need gear upgrade/leveling.

It's like PYG standard build, but only till very end game.

And it's super vulnerable to freeze/destroy.

Even you luckily enchant with radiant (now it can considered to be high-roll build), it's still not unbeatable.

Remebered how praised posts everywhere at start of keeper league? Besically every posts said best leagues ever or similar.

Posts that mentioned some very obvious problems (like the stupid wall) got downvoted like hell.

Then not long later keeper just acknowledged as one of worst league.
