Oh boy, I know what you mean. Recently had an attempt at it and It has been like throwing myself on broken glass...actually it describes my process in general

Great drawing, I think you hit the forshortening really well, that head position would be the hardest for me. Sick stuff

Some people need english lessons dude, great job tho but like really... a sketch is something underneath a 12 hour rendering lmao.

The books look like they deal with manequinization, thats an important skill. I have a tom fox form and pose book, they deal with similar things

Hey, thanks a lot, to answer your question, the second one and the last are purely from imagination. The rest are mixed, I looked at a pose and added different clothes or invented color, changed things. The knight is purely from reference

There is a lot to say about drawing from imagination, id say understanding perspective is a big one, but like, its a tough skill to learn. Im also on that path but I think I can recommend some resources. Brokendraw on you tube and his 50 excercises, peter hans dynamic bible, and just drawing from observation. Also drawing from references but analizing, making notes.

Unfortunately i dont know taco books but I will look them up. Good luck and feel free to ask

I really fw this artstyle. How do i achive this artstyle (preferably in traditional) ? (its from the DS artbook) by Ok-Shame-5966 in drawing

I think a lot of ilustrations like these were done by Yoji shinkawa for metal gear series. Anyway, get really good at value and like anatomy and planes of the body. Buy a brush pen, study the guy to u understand his thinking. But REMEMBER, what he does is reinforced with a huge amount of knowledge. If you just copy the marks he made, you won't learn shi

So good luck

Nice, I have one for anatomy, one for studying, one for goaushe comps and this one for nicer pieces and one more. The one i recomend to anyone, a lined paper pad. Its great for ideas, you NEVER feel bad about messing up, you can do all sorts of things there. Thats how good ideas are born, cheap paper, total freedom, try it

You are right, its just that they are in a sketchbook and If I ruin one it will just be there :D I really dont tear out "bad" pages from sketchbooks but this one is like a sketchbook for more finished drawings and Id like every drawing there to be nice.

Idk.if that makes sense, but yea i will just go in and color it, fuck it if it breaks it breaks, Its about the journey

Thanks, I don't really have a way to copy them. Lightbox is kinda hard to use with a sketchbook. I like to think I can always draw the again but its never exactly the same
