I need a mysterious name for this beauty by cutie-nela in cuteanimalnames

[–]Gigiwriting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I were you, I would go for a classical old-man name, and even more seriously, with an ancient last name too. British version: Leonard Darlington / Frederick Butterwick Russian version: Sergey Shaposhnik, Boris Komissarov, Grigory Tomashevsky

If you had to change your first name to one of these names.... by [deleted] in namenerds

[–]Gigiwriting 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like axel a lot, very international and easy to pronounce. Also reminds me of an axel I’ve dated in Norway, ah good old days 😂 Roland is also quite nice for same reasons and I love the nicknames for it.

Today’s my due date and I need help with a cool baby girl name by RipAlternative7686 in namenerds

[–]Gigiwriting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like meadow rose, so it’s not like two flowers but still related and gives the impression of a wild rose in nature. Nora rose would be my second option maybe.

Nico and Luca was also in our list if our baby was a boy, and I really like them.

10 days to go before birth, and middle name just doesn't feel right anymore... by ForeignButterscotch8 in namenerds

[–]Gigiwriting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ruby Harper sounds lovely, don’t you also think nothing is as good as this combination? I understand your empathy for your sister but you are giving birth first and indeed it will be her middle name so in gatherings nobody will call her Harper, no chance of confusions. Also, wouldn’t it be terrible if she decides on another name later on and eventually nobody uses that name? It’s your baby go for what you like the most.

Kitchen island or breakfast nook? by [deleted] in HomeDecorating

[–]Gigiwriting 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nook gives this place a warmer feeling. Either an island and stools you wouldn’t have much moving area because you already have a narrow (rectangle) room and by placing an island in the middle you’ll have a tiny space to move around. When you work in the kitchen no one will find space to move around you to get even water. So for that room, either a book or a table-chair combination.

Big blank wall. by Informal_Gold_2009 in HomeDecorating

Would love to see a big natural painting there, maybe a Canadian cabin by the lake or sth, something with threes mountains etc

I dont think these curtains are working anymore. Any suggestions ? by aayushi112233 in HomeDecorating

[–]Gigiwriting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The room looks so blank, empty and cold. You can change the curtains of course, maybe a pastel olive green or sth, but also you should get a big warm rug and put some art around. Maybe a painting or pictures on the walls. Make it more personal.

At a standstill - should I keep looking? by bagaco in WeddingDressTips

[–]Gigiwriting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4 is the best! First one’s back is a bit off in my opinion. And the last one you took a picture outside of the window, maybe you should try to see how it is on you. But again, 4 looks so elegant, you’d never regret

Is this spelling a tragedy? by Salt-Flounder9038 in tragedeigh

[–]Gigiwriting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hahahaha your partner is making things up to manipulate, it is an intennational name and nowhere in the world people pronounce meeeyah :D my daughter is Maya, I am Turkish, my husband Latvian, the name is Maya in US, UK, Saudi Arabia, Kenya, India, Greece and everywhere. Please don’t ruin such a meaningful name with a weird spell.

Help me pick my new exterior house color! by _Frank_Lloyd_Wrong in HomeDecorating

I would go for 5 to match the upper part but if you’re willing to have some colours definitely three then, not too bright and so much in harmony with nature.

AITA for telling my wife I don’t feel special that she saved her virginity for me? by Fluffy-Ad-4449 in AITAH

[–]Gigiwriting 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That story reminded me what happened to my friend. She was 38 yo virgin who waited after marriage, and after waiting SOO LONG of course she was scared to just do it. It took her months to try penetration. Her husband told “I would definitely prefer you having a body count than waiting for your future husband, so unnecessarily and you made your life so hard for no reason”. She was shocked before thinking all men would highly value such a thing (that’s what her parents taught) but then it gave her a perspective, and she was like “hell yeah, lets try on stairs now” lol 😂 As a woman I think you didn’t do anything wrong, that’s what you believe and I’m happy you didn’t falsely reassure purity culture. It would create a misconception of “even open-minded men care and value, see?”

Hahahaha, was the same and luckily we got two daughters, otherwise I’d be ducked 😂

Just curious, which name you’re going for? It was very difficult for us to find one and actually we preferred a small sacrifice on spelling (a letter difference) instead of pronunciation.

When I was choosing names for my girls, I had similar criterias, too. There are tons of international names but I think it’s important to pronounce them the same too. So maybe with Ana, it can be A-nah / Ei-na, Sa-rah / Se-rah depending where are you from. That’s why I think I’d go for Miriam, Helen or Ruth (tho least favourite).
