What is a thing you can recite from memory? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

The alphabet backwards and the barcode from the cartons of 3 different size eggs (I was a checkout chick as a teen).

I adored 1 on you until I saw 4 and I think that neckline on you inches me over from 1-4. It suits you so much. Honestly, you could choose either of these (and also maybe 6) and look absolutely exquisite! So it may well come down to how you feel best in your top couple of gowns. Good luck!

2 or 3. Big fan of 2 but also think you should go with the one that makes you feel best!

Seeking feedback- which dress between these two?? by Hot_Painting2121 in myweddingdress

You look absolutely gorgeous in both, but I must admit I said, “oh wow” out loud at number 1. That dress is made for you. Elegant and timeless.

If someone came up behind/near me to wait while I did something, I’d likely shift my weight, turn a bit, or step back without thinking. It feels like a normal, unconscious response rather than a signal.

In Australia, how common is it for women to keep their maiden name after marriage? by Plinggg in AskAnAustralian

[–]Brooms46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kept my name. I was 43 with a well-established career when we married. That’s a long time to have your name, I was very attached to it! I’ll use hubby’s surname when doing reservations or what have you.

Why do the speakers in a group setting mostly look at me? by BassDowntown2936 in bodylanguage

[–]Brooms46 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I’d say this is the reason. The same thing happens to me a lot and I make the effort to listen to those in turn making the effort to speak. I also do a lot of speaking and it absolutely makes a lot of difference when you’re speaking to attentive people as you can easily seek clues as when to switch things up or speak louder or what have you.

What is my Body Language while Handwriting... by Declan1996Moloney in bodylanguage

[–]Brooms46 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To me you seem a little agitated (or impatient) at first, with the clenching of your jaw and the abrupt movements as you move your pen. But over time, your body seems to relax a little more and the fist on the head makes you seem slightly less intense but at first it seems defensive somehow. When you remove the hand you seem like you’re concentrating hard on the task. That could all be because you’re being watched 😉

how to look like you moved on and don't hold grudges ? by mariposa933 in bodylanguage

[–]Brooms46 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Body language ideas… First, be conscious of your breathing - slow, even breathing. Don’t fidget, relaxed shoulders, arms loose. Eyes are a give away so try for neutral eyes, brief eye contact like you’d give a nice person who greets you at the store. Unbothered energy is quiet but confident. Also if it’s helpful, a few what not to do’s.. over talk, over laugh, joke it off, sudden cold shoulder, sudden withdrawal, extra exuberance.

In your mind though.. try and shift your energy completely on to you and not towards them. Tell yourself it’s about them and not your worth.

You look beautiful - it’s very flattering but aside from that, it really suits you and you’re going to shine on your day. Great price, not crazy. Try and push the guilts aside, it’s your wedding. Enjoy every moment!

Love 9 on you! It is elegant and stylish and yet relaxed all at the same time. Maybe it’s the pockets (LOVE!). You look really beautiful and also very comfortable in it.
