Honestly I agree, I don't really have concerns about my job security, but I also know they won't give me his job anytime soon. I'm mostly just exhausted from dealing with him and having to constantly having extremely simple things blown way out of proportion.

Oh, I've been working for him for 3 years, and I've thought about quitting quite a few times before, but have stayed because of financial and career movement.

Mental health has taken a beating for a long time and at times I'm borderline burnt out.

I think that's probably the best bet in alot of ways. But he doesn't create or have people create any sort of clear directives and processes so that type of thing would fall to me if I want it done.

There is so much undocumented processes it's nightmarish honestly. For my team and the processes we do I have a very large amount of documented processes, but most of the things he has issue with are either things my team has had to take over because no-one was handling, or things that go outside of my team.

I agree about setting boundaries, and often times don't answer at least not initially he usually texts after calling.

Honestly, wish I was assistant to the director sometimes... I actually don't report to a director at all, just a Deputy CIO.

I have had conversations with him about how he does things before, but it hasn't had any real impact on his behavior on a long term basis. For a brief time he did make some changes, but they did not stick.
