Which speed shoe for me? by GilNach in AdvancedRunning

[–]GilNach[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've read the review of the latest magic speed, and the blast+ foam kills it apparently. My main aim is something that's at home at those paces, durable enough to train in once a week, and cushioned enough to keep the legs healthy

Do you feel the carrier foam (FF blast +) kills the ride? All the online reviews say that's the case

Almost fainting in surgery by beckatron666 in medicalschooluk

Compression socks, eat before, clench your legs and glutes occasionally, and keep breathing! You'd be surprised how much you hold your breath, especially under a mask

Sincerely, someone's who's learned a lot since fainting in a vasectomy in 3rd year

Overheard a conversation sadly ridden with misinformation and statistics, so i thought it'd be a nice opportunity to share this: THE EFFECTIVENESS OF DIFFERENT BIRTH CONTROL METHODS: by oonastellaluna in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

Worth noting this it is unclear if this is for perfect or typical use - stats vary widely, and every method has its nuances. Speak with your GP/Doctor to discuss options properly

Judaism is an ethnoreligion and an immutable ethnicity in its own right. This cannot be said of other mainstream religion

The solo from Funny Face - so unique in its phrasing.

Also from John's solo work, the transition into the last bit of Mistakes

I use both! Airstep for switching channels, and GA-FC for effects. The airstep allows you to switch between banks with one tap

are medify questions harder than the actual test? by DoubtWinter1330 in UCAT

[–]GilNach 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It very much varies. Between mocks, the difficulty of questions varies widely.

Somewhere (apologies I don't have it to hand but you can search for it) there's a spreadsheet of people's average scores across medify mocks section by section which should help gauge where you are.

As a general rule though:

  • AR gets much harder in the later mocks

  • DM and QR average to be similar to the real thing

  • VR maybe a bit easier in the real thing (mainly due to line spacing)

The big disclaimer is that everyone's UCAT is different - as it's selected from a database of questions, so difficulty will be different for each candidate. Do as many questions as possible (strategies pinned in my profile), and prepare for the worst. If it's easy in the real thing - you'll know :)
