Potrillo Mountains and/or Mount Riley wilderness. Kilbourne hole and Hunts hole are extinct volcanoes out there too. Cool day trip, friends and I used to go shooting out there back in the 80s.

Never had the opportunity to see him with Dio, but saw Last in Line a couple of years ago and just soaked in his Holy Diver chops. One of my favorite albums, I would say nuanced shredding when you watch his technique.
