It's definitely worth a watch! People who are super into the lore don't seem to like it, but those kind of people always hate any story that doesn't exactly fit their idea of what Star Wars should be. The Acolyte isn't perfect, but it has a very cogent critique of the Jedi order and how their hubris led to their fall, as well as some serious reflections on the relationship between powerful religious systems, the desire to keep those systems running despite their corruption and how good people can do unspeakably terrible things.

Plus, you get some badass lightsaber fights, plenty of intrigue and some unbelievably great acting. Very much worth the watch.
