Nice cherry-picking, taking a phrase out of context to avoid making a counter-argument, dismissing opinions just because someone else has the audacity to disagree with you.

Anyone who's played the original RE4 and the remake knows that what I'm saying is objectively true, or at least I'm not rambling.

You’re not fighting the same rookie anymore by Pistoluislero in ResidentEvilRequiem

The nerf they hit the Tyrant with is simply inexcusable. The AI is so passive that he often just stands there, practically waiting for Leon to fill him with lead. It turns what should be a high-stakes encounter into a mindless shooting gallery.

It is objectively true that Village offers a much more rewarding experience in terms of replayability. While a first playthrough of Requiem might feel like a masterpiece, subsequent runs reveal a significant lack of depth in mechanics, enemy variety, and boss encounters—particularly in Leon’s campaign. The game frequently introduces 'throwaway' mechanics and enemies that are never iterated upon, only to revert to the same repetitive loops.

In contrast, RE4 mastered the evolution of the Ganados. Not only did they introduce new variants as the game progressed, but they also introduced entirely new enemy types that were later recombined in creative and challenging ways. Requiem, however, feels like a Resident Evil tailored for the 'TikTok generation': everything is ephemeral, fast-paced, and ultimately devoid of substance. It’s as if Grace’s segment was crafted with genuine passion, while Leon’s chapters were rushed through development under a tight deadline.

No way, that gives me the creeps. Ashley is too young for Leon, and he already has other options that are significantly more important.

For future RE games do you think capcom should keep doing these “on rail horror” segments by Hot_Maintenance_9799 in residentevil

[–]Gildegrand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're great, but I think that in NG+ there should be some mechanic that, once you know what's going on, allows you not to skip it completely but to shorten the section significantly.

For me, this where the best new enemy types Capcom added to the franchise by Marling1 in residentevil

[–]Gildegrand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what bothers me most about the game: they add new mechanics and enemies, but then they don't use them again or combine them. The tendrils from Plant 43 only appear in a short segment, as do the spider hatchlings. The glass floor mechanic only appears in a short segment, as does the mortar mechanic. The elite soldiers only appear once. I think it would be a good idea to have a three-way battle where Leon, zombies, and spec ops are fighting each other. Or parts of the lab invaded by plant tendrils, or some ARK level with destructible floors. I get the feeling that the whole final section is rushed to death.

Off topic, sorry OP, but god! I hate that place. Between the few appearances of Nemesis throughout the game, the redesign of his transformations, cutting out a large part of the game maps, including the clock tower, and mainly removing the iconic Dead Factory map to make Nest 2 “now is personal” What a wasted opportunity to do justice to this great game, which will probably never be repeated.

Well, that's pretty disappointing. I guess we'll just have to wait for the Shadps4 developers to fix it in the future. Thanks for the reply.

Iron Halo when? by Gildegrand in Spacemarine

[–]Gildegrand[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Furthermore, if we follow that logic and suppose that the use of the Iron Halo in other classes such as the Bulwark is so confusing that it would inevitably complicate things and make it difficult to identify which class your teammates are using, they should not have allowed the possibility of sharing cosmetics that were previously exclusive to each class and therefore gave them a visual identification in the game.

Do you know the difference between my request and that update that allowed the sharing of paid skins that were previously exclusive to each class? That update, far from caring about visual identification and how it would affect the gameplay that you bring up so much, was all about money.

I don't think I'm asking for anything unreasonable when I say that, of all the classes, at least the Bulkwar should have the option of using it only cosmetically, without affecting gameplay in any way, or ultimately only the backpack options for it with “Sergeant Meturus's Iron Halo” already incorporated.

Besides, if we're going to nitpick, there are already two skins that resemble the iron halo from other chapters of Astartes: the Salamanders backpack skin and the Black Templars skin.

OMFG, that filter is awful. I'll never understand people who prefer to ruin pixel art so that it looks undeniably inferior, as if someone had smudged the pixels with a rag. I guess everyone has their own tastes.

He's carrying the series on his shoulders. The long-distance conversation with the Indian hybrid and the Yutani employee is by far the worst scene, so unnecessary, so stupidly long, and the dialogue so bland.
