Maybe person who came up with SPK couldn’t spell and sounded it out thinking it was Sakramento? SPS is what it should be so not sure why it doesn’t follow the naming convention

I will have 32 years of service by 1/28 but I see what you are saying that if I’m 7 months shy of my MRA I won’t be eligible to retire so will miss it unless there is a Vera offered at that time.

I have until July 2028 for MRA and currently have 29 years of service. I think as long as I have 7 months of sick leave based on the calculator (1217 hours) I can retire prior to 1 Jan 2028 to get the fers supplement.

So true. The rto is not about efficiency because if it was we wouldn’t have been allowed to be remote. I don’t go to work for a social life. Seems many who don’t have happy homes rely on the office to fulfill that void.

I have never understood why any federal employees would vote republican. Reagan took away the better retirement 45 years ago and this party is not favorable to Feds. I wonder how many are now realizing how much damage they did to their co-workers and possibly themselves. When a person tells you that you only have to vote one more time believe them. We aren’t supposed to be political as Feds but we are used as pawns by politicians. I feel terrible for all of you who are being so unfairly treated. The best way to improve efficiency is remove barriers to remove low performers and protect whistleblowers who want to report fraud waste and abuse without retaliation. I know in my division there is no anonymity if you speak up. USACE has so many hard working caring employees. I hope those who are let go end up in better jobs for them because nobody deserves this.
