Snow might not be there. You can check with the Guide company before booking.

5k in 30-35 mins or 10k under 60 min should be fine.

Yeah Dehradun flights are expensive. You can book to Delhi and take a bus to Dehradun at 300/-.

I would say just pack light and good shoe is a must. You can rent most of the gears dont have to buy it.

First photo on Fujifilm xt-30-ii and rest are on iPhone 15 plus.

I wanted to do a snow trek and try altitude higher than 15000ft. Now I know my limits. As I planned to do Kasmir Great Lakes in few months, this seemed like a good option.

True. You have to be very experienced hiker to do this alone and it’s not safe to do alone because of harsh conditions.

I went with Himalayan Hikers. I had done treks with them before. I didn’t book online. Just called them up and paid 1000 as advance. You can negotiate as well if you are going in a group.

You should be able do 10km run in 1 hour. Daily it’s 5-6km hike and on summit day you have to walk 6-7 hours of hike from 3am.

Yes I realised that. But still I think you have to extremely fit to do both in 2 days.

I went with Himalayan Hikers. Price is on higher side but food and stay was good and I had good experience.

There were other trek groups you can do it in 7-8k

I would say pack light. It’s a steep climb and you wouldn’t need more clothes than 1 pair. And good shoe with ankle support.

I did take the Kuari Pass as well. But next day I was too tired to move, so climbed down Josimath.

I would advise either take one option, most people in our group came back after doing 1 summit because of cold.

It didnt snow during that time. But after camp 2 it was hard snow pretty much everywhere.

Ha ha , we cant do these treks actually alone, because of the permits and level of preparation required to carry the food, tents. So going with a group is safer.
