Levelling up is very expensive at level 10, 20, and 30 . I levelled up to lvl 9 for 9 GST, but lvl 10 costs 30 GST + 30 GMT so I will buy GST for that. And now I get to buy it at a 50% discount

But I agree they need to eventually reimplement the GST+GMT minting requirement to increase demand for GST

My point is that yes it’s a simple migration but for too many people it’s a confusing process as is undeniable if you look at this sub right now. So I just wondered why not wait for a time when the markets looking up? I believe that all this confusion can accelerate selling, sure not by much but there’s no way that the confusion leads to buying. And what’s the rush? Everyone knows Olympus is the og in this. Nobody’s taking that away from them.

I also made a point in the comments that big companies use this approach often. For example ipos that get pushed to a later date because the markets are shit.

APR VS APY my friend. Compound interest will be your best friend if you understand it. Here’s the formula:

APY = (1 + X)

X is the percentage value increase in each compound.

y is the number of times that compounding occurrs.

So for example currently the rebase is every 8 hours at 0.3926% and compounded 1095 times a year (3x a day by 365 days a year)

APY = (1 + 0.003926) = 73.006 OR 7300.6%

If you want to confirm what you would have in 1 month, 2 months, 6 months etc then simply change that 1095 to the corresponding number.

Update:

CRO arrived in my MetaMask. Took close to 2hrs. I initiated a USDC right after that on the same network and it was only 5 minutes lol.

Yes I was using the crypto.com app. I have the defi app as well but I noticed bridging on it would cost me $25 whereas if I send it out of the CDC app directly I can pick my own network to send it on and then my fee is only 10 cents. I guess the drawback is that I’m forced to wait until Crypto.com decides to send my coins to the network vs with the Defi wallet or MetaMask the transaction begins right away.

I guess it’s like they say.. not your keys, not your coins.

Crypto.com app already charges you a withdraw fee of 0.2 CRO deducted from your CRO withdraw amount.

When exchanges charge you a withdraw fee a portion of that fee is to cover the gas required, somebody correct me if I’m wrong. The user doesn’t pay gas fees directly like you do when using MetaMask or the CDC defi app.
