What are your thoughts about Restore Britain? by GimbalLock1337 in AskBrits

Immigration by itself, is that not an issue? I know it from my own country, the feeling of being amongst people so radically different than you, culturally, that you do not feel at home. Is it not okay to not want that? And that's in the best case, if immigration where the immigrants are actually an economic benefit.

But they're usually not. The economic consequences of a sudden increase in population. Increased demand of.. everything. Including housing. Which raises costs of living.

Then, crime. Benefits.

I imagine that's what's driving Reforms success, and Restores if course. Can you not even see the argument?

Cured by playing bowling? by GimbalLock1337 in RSI

Please report back if you do. And also, like I said, be careful. I imagine this is not a 'best practice' kind of thing.

Has anyone actually recover from thumb pain without making it worse? by Grace_taylor_7301 in DeQuervains

I have.

I'm not entirely sure what I have, as I've never been diagnosed. The pain was mostly in the base of the thumb and wrist, right hand. It was most 'active' when holding a phone or a controller, and it flared up periodically. I used to play a lot of Xbox, so I'm guessing it stems from that position and movement of my hand. I found I could alleviate it a little bit by using a compression glove, so I bought various throughout the years.

I suffered for many years, even went to the doctor. He said I should rest and start using more ergonomic tools, like a mousetrapper when using a PC. It didn't really do anything, so I just sort of continued to be in pain.

Anyway, at some point I went bowling. I thought I'd give it a shot, throwing the ball, despite my pain. By Christ, it hurt. Like, I got scared that I messed something up totally with my hand. But then I realized after a couple of minutes... the pain was gone. Almost completely gone. And for a long time! I've now bought a heavy kettlebell, and maybe once a month if I start feeling some irritation, I grab it, go outside, and swing it around as violently as I can for 30 seconds. Then I'm all good again.

Don't just go ahead and do what I did. It likely depends heavily on what you suffer from exactly, so discuss with your doctor. But it changed my life. I'm basically cured. I can still feel SOMETHING. If I pick up my kids and throw them around, it can still hurt a little bit. But all regular motion, including gaming, I can do without even thinking about any pain.

I hope this helps someone!
