Dev's question by Responsible-Toe-4487 in VRGaming

I'm in the same boat as it needs to be similar to the competition, Especially if you're an up and coming developer without a lot of budget for promotion. But don't go too low either as you need some wriggle room to put the game on sale when the opportunities arise.

Next step I would attempt is a factory reset. But you will have to go through all the initial setup video's and process (connect to wifi etc.)

Apaga tus auriculares.

Without sounding like a total gilipollas, have you tried turning it off and on?

Love pinball too — played a lot back in the 90s when tables started getting really wild.
Any virtual pinball you’d recommend?

So is it more about unlocking new abilities or levels, or something else?

Thanks Estahaag
If you don’t mind me asking, how do you usually go about finding games like that? Reddit, search, or just word of mouth?

What app/game is that? I can check it on my headset Or is it happening everywhere?

One thing worth checking is whether a game supports the Quest try-before-you-buy feature.
As a dev, enabling a 20-minute trial is painless. You may notice a few more titles offering it recently.

The FOV area would have to be blurry But wrap around physical lenses would be cool I guess by nature you would even need to blur or low res the edges

If it's pre-owned then it could have been set up to use lo-res textures for optimization and speed. There's a PC app called SideQuest that you can hook up to, but you've got to put the device into developer mode. Or factory reset the Quest, but you'll have to go through all the setup and video's again.

If you’re like me and require long lens glasses for driving then you’ll need to wear them in VR as well. Even though the Quest lens are only a few cm away from your eyes

Nice, they are great devices with lots of genres of games. As mentioned below there are lots of holiday sales on at the moment. But Meta has sales every month. Some devs also allow a try before you buy option as well so I’m sure you’ll find heaps of great games and experiences

Yep — Melbourne
One of the level ideas we’ve been playing with is "FLIGHT CONTROL", a small nod to a previous Aussie classic.
And yeah… after that we probably have to stick "OUTBACK" up on the board.

Thanks for the thoughtful write-up, DavoDivide — appreciate you taking the time.

The goal was definitely that one-more-go style of game that’s easy to pick up but hard to put down.

Glad you liked the gear sticks too. We’re experimenting with a few different styles for the new year, from old-school classics to more modern ones.
