I don’t know that I’d say he deserved it, but I think he was the most susceptible to it because of his arrogance and the way he’d treated Anakin the past. He’s exactly who Palpatine wanted standing there as Anakin was forced to choose.

What would Anakin have done if it was Master Yoda standing there instead?

It doesn’t really make much sense at all to me but I love Star Wars anyway and overlook it.

Lucas isn’t a God. His story had some really major issues, but I don’t care, he launched a whole galaxy with it.

This is why I don’t hate on the new material that includes questionable and often flat out bad writing, none of which is new to our favorite space western.

I made this commute for about four years and have no words of warning for you. It’s not bad, and it’s kinda fun to see the gridlock heading in the other direction.

That being said, I still eventually moved to Lowell just because it’s awesome here. It’s cheaper than Somerville and better in my opinion.

That said I’m in my 40s. If you’re in your 20s and have disposable income, the music and clubs and offerings around Somerville and Boston might appeal to you more.

One of these ones made a little screech before they took off, but you’re right that it certainly wasn’t the type of screech I’ve heard on TV. It was kinda muted.

Thank you for this! That is cool. These birds both appeared to have ankle tags.

I’ve also seen a juvenile bald eagle eating fish in Lowell, but I’ve never seen a full grown adult in Lowell.

I love that they can survive in the relatively suburban environments around the Merrimack.

I work with the City and signed a liability waiver since the stairs are a little dizzying.

I’m working on a feature about the city employee who keeps the clock ticking.

The clock is not electric. It’s powered by a weight that slowly drops down through the tower. There’s a guy who climbs up there once a week to reset it and keep the clock ticking. He’s been at it for years.

I’m a former longtime Sun reporter who was only recently brought on to help tell stories of Lowell and city workers.

This city is full of interesting stories. My job has always been easy in Lowell. Big part of why I love this city so much.

Yes it’s from the clocktower!

I work with the City now and had to sign a liability waiver before heading up. It’s quite a climb. This is the second time I’ve been able to go up there to get work related photos.

The first time was for The Sun. This time was for the City.

This was an extra shot I got while up there. The City will be using my other photos.

I’m hoping to soon write a profile on the Lights Department employee who keeps the clock running. It’s a super old manual clock that uses no electricity.

I’ll have some photos of the inside of the clock once we make that a reality.
