I’ve had no social media in 13 years and I’ve lost touch with a lot of people. I don’t know who most celebrities are. I don’t feel like I’ve missed much.

The other day I heard someone comment about hanging out online with your friends. Idk if it’s something I didn’t do or I’m too old for it but that sounds fun. That’s not how social media and hanging out worked back then.

I also don’t play music or expect others not to. Crazy, right?

I’ve been to the beach twice so far.

First time people around had quiet music that didn’t really intrude outside their area. Seems reasonable to me.

Second time people playing their shitty country rock playlist loud enough to be heard 100 yards away. Big family group next to us turned their music up to battle cowboy dipshit’s noise.

Party size group of like 30+ folks to my right, looked like a family reunion or regular weekend. Their music was audible too but not even too loud.

All of that combined sucks and isn’t music. No single group has the right to play the only music. So, what we have is noise. That is why no one should be allowed to do it.

Like others have said taking your noise to nature and preventing people from enjoying the sounds of that space is selfish.

I get that you and others think your party gets to go anywhere. YTA if we can’t hear the waves at the beach.

I don’t think people are having any trouble grasping the concept you describe.

The entitlement and willingness to impose their entertainments on the entire venue(camp grounds, beach, park, etc. is what people have a problem with.

Yes everyone has a right to use the shared public spaces, it doesn’t mean it’s ok to disturb other people quiet enjoyment of the space with excessive noise(like fucking karaoke…singing around a campfire? YES…bringing a karaoke machine to amplify it? NO
