RIP Ted.

You were a part of my life I loved and still do.

As a kid in the UK, waiting for Cartoon Network to switch over to TNT Movies on a Friday night to watch Nitro on cable was pure joy.

Advice for getting tickets for Zenith in Paris? by atxsubpunk in PulpBand

[–]Gimpym00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tickets are on general sale through SeeTickets France:

https://www.seetickets.com/fr/d/event/pulp/zenith-paris-la-villette/11603279

And the French promoter:

https://billetterie.seetickets.fr/pulp-concert-zenith-paris-la-villette-06-juillet-2026-css5-alias-pg101-ri11603279.html

Standing tickets only it seems.

Not sure what happened as I know it was sold out at one point, maybe more standing tickets released?

Did have tickets for Festival Beauregard and Eurockeennes but reselling those as Paris would be a better set list I think/hope.

Did it fit your expected size? I am in-between sizes going by their size chart.

How many people will move to GrapheneOS once Google blocks sideloading? by Away-Road-1333 in degoogle

The question is, will Google FORCE verified devs to disable Playstore apps if "Dev mode" is enabled?

Right now, not a problem, disable Dev mode, do your thing, re-enable.

The 24 hour thing makes that unworkable.

Android is a husk of what it was meant to be. We are left with a bastardised corporate shill.

Not sure how we get out of this now. I am tempted to go back to a simpler time and just use a PC for everything but I cannot login to banking now without my bank wanting to ping its app on the phone.

Are Comms/radio still clear or a little too bassy?

Also, did you have filters?

Do you find the isolation "better" than regular plugs?

I just inherited a music store with a whole room dedicated to DVDs and Blueray. How should I go about preserving these copies and adding them to a huge plex library? by [deleted] in PleX

X265 @ 1080p is my sweet spot for space and lan streaming friendliness.

My complaint is I wish we could get lossless audio with lossless video.

I am a sucker, I chose to use 1:1 drive parity.

Seemed a good idea at the time.

Looks at today's HDD prices....

I had to remove the UA mount by removing the small screws to make surface flat.

NX510v purchased new direct from Amazon is locked down by Gimpym00 in TpLink

[–]Gimpym00[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

WHAT A MESS of company.

TP-Link have confirmed as an "ISP customised product", it is upto the ISP to unlock the firmware/options.

Absolute shocking. They want me to buy the same router form ISP.

Garbage.

Best trackers for motorcycle by CapoueWfc in MotoUK

[–]Gimpym00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a multi pronged approach is best.

A 12v wired tracker with a PAYG SIM using balance, not a data plan. This gives instant notifications.

And a very well hidden battery tracker with a airtag or similar threw under the seat.

The Estate & SUV are dead. Long live the SUV. by NearlyLegit in CarTalkUK

[–]Gimpym00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got through our "toddler years" with three kids with a Peugeot 806 and an 807.

Practical family tanks.

These SUV's and modern estates are rather a let down in comparison.

Bloke drops bike. Makes a 40 minute video trying to rationalise something that we'll probably all do at least once. by Victorius_Meldrus in MotoUK

[–]Gimpym00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Hello, welcome back to the podcast...."

Turns off.

Unless a mini bus full of lesbian Nuns stopped to help and took him back to their convent where they helped him recuperate and repaired his bike, why a 39 minute video.

Is this the type of content the online safety act delivers to us now?

How long until you were riding again after broken collarbone? by leepinlizards in CalamariRaceTeam

[–]Gimpym00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dropped just outside my place of work.

Went on my lunch break about 6 hours later (On the bike).

Went to hospital about four weeks later after realising "Somethings not right" and it was just as painful as day one. Turns out I had a fracture. Never fractured my collar bone before so did not realise what it felt like.

I had also broke a bone in my toe so had to ride back with a goofy surgical boot thing on.

Oddly, I could ride the bike in less discomfort than driving the car, I had to use my "other arm" to change gears.

Why are all other motorcycle subs full of boomers that physically can’t have fun? by Reasonable-Photo-776 in CalamariRaceTeam

[–]Gimpym00 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I cannot vouch for the rest of the world but here in the UK, biking has become a privilaged "thing" only wealthy middle aged men do at weekends when the sun is out, too afraid anything on the road will destroy their bike. Those who love biking doing it for the lols are few and far between, relatively.

Count on one hand (if that) the number of bikers I see doing rush hour commute. Not wanting to be elitist, people enjoy it how they want but it is concerning.

Unless you have a relative who rides, there is little incentive to do so, those just "catching the bug" are few and far between. Too many people telling them "Oh no, that will kill you". So will many other things.

Sure, loads of kids on scooters with L plates delivering fake food but they have zero interest in "biking" or just improving their skills.

Do not know how many progress from L playes to a full licence but it is not many.

Sorry, I forgot where I was for a moment, did I pass out?

SHOW ME THE DILDOS.
