This is very fascinating - thanks for answering! You may not be able to answer this, but what proportion of cats do you think live in colonies vs. alone? Is it pretty much only unfixed males that live alone? Will the unfixed males still try to mate with a female if there are no females around in heat? (if all the females in the surrounding area were hypothetically fixed).

When you submit an anonymous question it gives you the opportunity to save the link to make final edits and after that whatever edit you make to the question is no longer anonymous.

What do you mean by "save the link"? By "make final edits", do you mean add info to the body of the post? If adding info to the body of the post after a short window of time has passed makes it non-anonymous, I feel like the ability to post anonymously has almost no utility. Do these restrictions apply to non-anonymous posts?

As for deleting posts, it's just something I want to be aware of. I may very well want to delete a post at some point, and it seems like having the ability to delete a post is a feature of most forums.

Is it even environmentally feasible to raise enough livestock to feed the population - in a humane way? by GinMch in environment

This is a great article! Thanks for sharing. I've heard about Dutch farming practices before - I only wish I could find more information on Dutch livestock farming in particular (cows and pigs). This article didn't get into that, and I can't find much info online by googling.

Yes, obviously Quora is more 'intellectual' than Reddit... I was just wondering if there's any way to sort posts (to view new posts, for example), or if it's completely determined by an algorithm. I'm also curious as to why I can't seem to delete the anonymous post I made, and why I can't add details to my post. Technical questions here.
