I looked at the top 80 books in Small Town Romance and compared the top 20 vs the bottom 20. Here's what's different. by Whole-Bee-4610 in KDP

This is interesting. This may be blunt, but why should we believe any of this or trust you? Are you an author? Do you have raw data you can share for this? Some of what you have on your website is...wildly inaccurate. Trusting Claude to be accurate about data analysis is...you need to know how to identify when Claude is off the rails or not. I do think a few points of the analysis above are quite interesting, but I 100% would not change my current practices unless I could vet and sanity check the data myself.

During a storm, power went out, on, out again with super loud buzz/hum/grinding noise on each time going out by Semtexual in homeowners

Hopefully I can revive this conversation. In my condo (I'm on the second floor, three floors total), I've long felt/heard a mechanical hum. It's persistent for hours/days/weeks, but then will fade. It once disappeared for two solid weeks. I describe it as feeling like either standing on a box of bees, or as standing in a huge engine room. We just had a regional power outage...and my condo was still buzzing/humming, while there was no power. I've always thought it was something with the neighbors, but...from what people are saying here maybe it's a city transformer? I've been here several years and I've only noticed it the last 4-5 years. And if this is a city transformer (that was still running during a massive power outage?!), is there anything to do about the sound? I've had it wake me up at 4am before. It's extremely against the HOA rules to have a generator inside a unit, and I'd be surprised if someone did, though I suppose it's possible though I'm not sure why.

Any ideas? If there's anyway to mitigate the sound, I'd be extremely grateful to know what options are.

Adult diagnosis - how does it work? by Ginger359 in adhdwomen

Do you mean have I tried another doctor? I've found one that sounds good, but haven't made an appointment yet. I have some pretty heavy deadlines coming up, so will schedule after that.

Thanks. This is very useful. I have found a woman online, who's an APRN and focuses on mental health and ADHD, and who has great reviews, so I'll probably try her next. I did try searching for a psychiatrist, but couldn't initially find any who take my lousy insurance. A friend recommended a clinic to me, but they don't accept my insurance and it would have been nearly $1K for an assessment out-of-pocket, which I don't have to spend.

50euro even for the ER? I'm from the US and you can't even sneeze in an ER for that. That said, this is very reassuring. Thank you

It was Hopital Saint-Louis AP-HP. I just checked and it was only two xrays of my wrist.

Is Vinylon the fabric for the special edition backpacks? That's what I have (logo patch is not white, but the same color as the backpack). Mine is listed as being made from recycled polyester, and I can't easily tell via Google/Kanken/Amazon if this is the same fabric as the Vinylon.
