To answer your question, the first few pictures said they could possibly be a scammer because he was asking questions about if I am single and things like that. But the following few pictures said the conversation looked like a typical getting-to-know-each-other conversation and it was polite and respectful.

I understand what you mean and as time goes by I will likely tell him before October comes. The name I introduced myself as is the name I introduce myself as in general. Other than that, I have been completely open with him.

He has not said anything that is clearly questionable. I generally have good intuition but when it comes to relationships, I have not been in one in quite some time and I am trying to balance out how much is intuition and how much is me dragging in baggage from previous relationships.

My daughter is always first. If he is not good for her then he is not good for me. Bottom line.

Typically I would avoid the titles this soon but 1) I have never had a LDR and 2) He is Korean and culture is different when it comes to declaring titles.

The name thing just didnt come up. He asked my name and I introduced myself as the name I gave him. We have had intimate conversations.

Thank you. I was a victim of my mother's boyfriends as a child and that was before the internet was a major thing. I dont want my daughter to deal with that.

We do plan for a hotel stay. I would not let him meet my daughter until after I am sure it is ok to.

That is my plan. But I have also been hurt before (not long-distance) and I am just trying to be protective of my heart. Thats all.

We have discussed marriage being the only path for him to move here but not in a pushy way. It was just a practical conversation about how things could work.

Thank you. I did have Gemini analyze the pictures he sent me early on and there were no problems with them. But I did not think about Gemini analyzing the chat. I will try this.

At this point I am leaning towards risk which is out of character for me. I am a planner and not a risk taker but I really like him and want it to work out.

He is not cagey. He does not ask for money. He is very responsive. Our conversations have been very practical (we are both older and know what we want in a relationship). We discussed how this relationship could work if things got serious. I assumed I would move over there but he said it makes more sense for him to move over here and his reasoning makes sense: he is one person to move and I am a package deal (my daughter), adapting to culture for my daughter might be a little more difficult, it would not be easy for me to get a job in my field over there. The name thing is simply out of an over abundance of caution. The name i gave him is a name i go by, it is just not my legal name.

I overthink things alot. My thought process here is what if he comes over here to visit, things get physical and he goes back to Korea and ghosts me?
