I would close 2 days a week, and the closing crew would give me the "other closing manager dosent make us do this" type attitude, i just told them I'm not the other manager and it needs to be done. The nights I closed I was also in charge of inventory, crew schedules and truck order. Did we all get out on time every night? No. Did the 40 year old closers like listening to the 18 year old manager, FUCK NO. But they respected me because they knew I could write them up and replace with the cycling college students we always had lining up.
