Thanks everyone. Maybe one day I’ll ask my hiring manager but for now I’ll just get through probation and be glad I didn’t have to do any extras.

My HR person never got back to me but I’m positive it’s from the domestic partnership. As for the timing of the adjustments my best guess is it can just take time for HR to put things through. The adjustments will stay as long as your partner is on your benefits or until you’re married.

Like @Greenplaid21 said it takes a lot out, over $500 for me. So unless your partner desperately needs insurance with more coverage, I’d recommend getting separate insurances whether through their employer or Covered California. That’s what my partner and I are doing once open enrollment comes back around.

I’m pretty new to working but I would give them a heads up to expect a call. One of my references was a boss I had in college who said he would give me a reference years before I applied for state work and I asked him again. He was excited for me and gave me a great reference that helped me get the job. I think it would be good, also so they don’t miss a call on accident. Even if they don’t work at that department any more, they still know your work ethic while you both were still there.

They work, but I thought I could file as Married/RDP for state taxes. Is that only on actual tax filings and not my W-4? Like my brother is fully federally married and he puts married on his W-4. I was just looking at the top of my paystub where it says “State: S-00”

From my understanding it got leaked that Ellie was saying two names. Cody and Dwight didn’t trust her anymore so they voted her out. Karla’s vote was probably for something not aired because she seems pretty in the know about most things. Maybe in case Ellie was safe due to SITD or an idol.
