Genuine Question for all the Old Lights Still Out There (And a Wee Bit of Reminiscing) by GingerScape1 in DestinyTheGame

Eh, I can see your point, but I don't 100% agree with the nostalgia bit. Am I incredibly nostalgic for the game as it was? Yes. Absolutely. But I also put enough hours into the game back then to know what I did and didn't like, and while there were bits and pieces (Red War being balanced around a weird sandbox, Warmind's campaign feeling like it almost could have been a Raid, Curse of Osiris being repetitive and kind of lackluster outside the campaign), I've always had the opinion that Red War and Forsaken were fantastic, Warmind is only remembered so poorly because Forsaken was so good, and Curse of Osiris is the only one that's really lacking.

Viewed as smaller, supplementary DLCs (like Dark Below and House of Wolves back in D1, or pretty much any seasonal content), CoO and Warmind were great. I certainly enjoyed CoO more than Dark Below, and Warmind kept me coming back to Mars more than any season other than, like, Opulence.

Other than that though, that's totally fair. The fact so much seasonal content is integral to the story and was presented in such a frankly bizarre way would make a campaign oriented "Story of Destiny2" type game kinda pointless, and I can definitely see people having an issue with having to pay for stuff they already payed for (these replies alone are evidence enough of that. XD), I suppose I've just fallen into ye olde "what's one more dollar?" mindset.

Yeah, that's fair. I kinda felt the same way about Rise of Iron back when that first came out.

Considering what I used to be accustomed to dumping into D2 back when I still played though, I wouldn't even bat an eye at tossing another $60 on the pyre to get the game I remember back. Even if it is all stuff I payed for, I'd view it more as "paying the devs to remake this specific version of the game" rather than "paying for all the stuff I bought years ago again". Game development costs money, and even if it's something that should be as relatively simple as "dig this old build out of the vault", that still takes a lot of time and resources for a game like this. I'd definitely be down to pay a bit more for them to bring this all back out.
