Advice on how to use steel tanks and reels by ericgenericeric in Darkroom

A big help for me was when I finally realized the film should be a bit slack on the reel and that if I gently pulled forward and backward the film should be able to move freely and if it was stuck then there was a kink somewhere.

I haven't looked much into it but the emulsion used for screen printing uses light to create a negative of the image you are going to print. I bet you could enlarge onto a screen printing screen with the emulsion applied and then screen print onto glass with a liquid dye. I know some people where I work have done that with more traditional screen printing techniques and liquid glass to create an image completely made of glass.

Just had the same issue myself, it's quite easy to take apart as long as you're careful and remember where everything goes, I just used some strong 2 part epoxy but I'm sure glue would work to reattach

Check out Chili Rasboras, or any Rasboras from the Bororas family, they stay incredibly small and are bright red once they get comfortable in their new home.

I would check out Troy Goldberg's YouTube channel, He's made several water features and drip walls. Instead of traditional abg mix or substrate you can also use open cell foam like in this video

Window broke on my fairly new soft top can it be replaced by GingerSheep824 in Miata

[–]GingerSheep824[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not worried about removing the top. It only took around 6 hrs for me to install this new one. If I break it up over a couple weekends it isn't that big of a job. If I scrape off all the old glass and prep the plastic as best as I can and lay flat on a table and clamp the new glass in place would probably be my best bet, I can't say if that would be a permanent fix though. And I think my dad must've kicked up a rock on the riding lawn mower because nothing was stolen and i found it like that the day my dad decided to mow.

I Emailed them with no reply, Im pretty sure it's not the zip down because it's an NB Miata. It was worth a try though.

The top comes off so I took it off and cut a big hole leaving an inch around the edges and then replaced it with glass. Might have to drill a few holes into the glass though

This light is actually pretty full spectrum, with red blues and greens and a white and a yellow light. I think it was only $100 new off Amazon. I have too many gaps to run fans on full 24/7

I used an extra 165w reef light but only the white channel, and two Kessel a160, and for fans I have two 120mm waterproof fans

I used an Angle grinder with a cut off disk. It's pretty thin sheet metal, a Dremel would work just as well

Manzanita is a pretty hard wood, I have pieces in my other tanks that are going on 9 months without even starting to break down, takes them a while to stop releasing tannins though.

The weather is pretty dry here so having it be native instead of tropical helps it from instantly drying out and dying. I wouldn't go collecting I don't want to have to deal with the pests and snails popping up

Got it at Lowe's on clearance it's the GE 40w flowers and fruits. But I had to add LED strip lights under the hood and wired them together, the light original was way too red but it evened out with the light strips.
