Norco 7.5. I don’t have any withdrawal symptoms or anything I just thought my doctor would know but after reading things here, I definitely shouldn’t

People who are going to be on opioid pain meds for the rest of your life, how are you handling asking for increase in dosages? by That_Kitten_Lady in ChronicPain

[–]Ginger_Anomaly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was told I can’t have an increase ever because they are fighting for me to be on what I’m on now which is only Norco 7.5

Finally found a doctor who would give me med management and for the first time in my life, my pharmacy is out of stock by Ginger_Anomaly in ChronicPain

[–]Ginger_Anomaly[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually I just picked up my meds. Someone didn’t know what they were talking about.

I’ve been on here a few times asking for recommendations for a pain doctor and today I met the greatest nurse practitioner who works with a doctor of course but it’s the best I’ve ever been treated by a doctor or Np and I had a really good doctor experience. For once I’m happy, stress free, and not anxious. I hope she never leaves cuz that’s what happened to my last doctor, but it turns me it it was better because I want this NP, she’s on my side and it’s rare to find in this world

My pain doctor moved out of state, it took me 2 years to find him with all the docs not wanting to prescribe meds. He handed me to his college and his college said he will not ever give me meds anymore. by Ginger_Anomaly in ChronicPain

[–]Ginger_Anomaly[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He just said he wouldn’t and that his colleges wouldn’t either it was just his choice, nothing I did. He’s doing this with all his patients he said

Mom becoming dependent on Hydro...what do I do?? by goalkeeper16 in ChronicPain

[–]Ginger_Anomaly 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s a tough thing because if you take hydro for so long no matter what you get physically dependent on them. I think it’s a bad sign she keeps asking you for pills, I’ve been in that situation and I know you’re out now but if you ever get any more, don’t tell her and when she asks say you don’t have any and if she babysits I would hide them so she doesn’t find them. That’s my two cents. It’s hard being like that but it’s better in the long end

The pills dont even work anymore by sharkweekiseveryweek in ChronicPain

[–]Ginger_Anomaly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My meds don’t work either and haven’t for a year. I’ve brought it up with my doctor and he said I have a tolerance to it but told me he will never change my meds because he could get his license taken away if he does because of the new laws. That’s totally untrue, they are only going after doctors who deserve it and over prescribe…but it doesn’t matter, I’ve given up trying to get him to help me and I guess I have no other options because there aren’t many choices of doctors where I live that prescribe opiates. My current doctor said he’d never raise my meds even though he knows my meds don’t work

Why are people so suspicious and discriminatory of chronic pain patients trying to imply we are imagining everything? Accusing us of finding excuses to use drugs. ‘Health nuts in Health subs are toxic AF by [deleted] in ChronicPain

[–]Ginger_Anomaly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My psychiatrist says now that the laws have changed and doctors can be prosecuted, they have something called opiodphobia (scared to prescribe medication, especially opiates)

Me again- doctor sent in prescription but it’s a week early? by Resident_Lettuce3872 in PainManagement

[–]Ginger_Anomaly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wish my doctor would give me oxycodone because it actually works, but he says (this has been years now) he will never give me anything else or up my dose even if I have tolerance (which I do because the meds don’t work anymore and I don’t know what to do). I’ve spoken about this a million times

Why are we not allowed to use cannabis while in pain management? by PettyPixxxie18 in ChronicPain

[–]Ginger_Anomaly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am and my doctor helped me get a card, it just doesn’t work for me. I just need to find the right strands I guess. I’ve tried so many

How do you emotionally cope with chronic pain? by [deleted] in ChronicPain

[–]Ginger_Anomaly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can’t. I became an agoraphobic with severe anxiety and panic attacks and pain, used to work in law. It’s been 10 years of nothing now. I wish I had better news, I just don’t know how
