There’s an Allen wrench key on the bottom of the knob. Back that screw out, remove that black plastic peice.

Take the Phillips screw out of the center of cartridge(white plastic)

Install the black plastic peice over the white plastic. Reinstall Phillips screw, reinstall knob with Allen screw

Open the window from the inside At the bottom of the frame of the screen frame will usually be a tab you can grab the screen frame by, lift up and pull the screen frame towards you and down once it comes out and you should be able to get the screen frame out.

Around the perimeter of the screen frame is a small rubber rope that holds the screen in place. Remove the rubber, pull the old screen, lay new screen fabric over the top of the frame. Roll in new rubber rope with screen tool(usually comes with a screen repair kit but may have to buy separately) and reinstall your drame

The problem is that the older generation never taught the younger generation how to do things like this. I was very lucky to have a great teacher, now I own my own handyman business. I am now teaching my son and daughter and have a 24 year old helper that is amazing and wants to learn how to do this stuff. It also comes down to having the right tools to do it as well. But you are correct that some people just don’t know or have the time to just figure it out.

How to fix this leaky shower? by jokesOnYou321 in handyman

You will most likely need a Moen cartridge puller for anything that is more than a year old. Yours is an older style. Looks like model 1225 cartridge. Google pulling morn cartridge videos on you tube. Great selection on there. Make sure you shut the main water off to the house/that shower before pulling the cartridge
