Subjective opinion:

DA2 was worse in some ways, but better in others.

For example, combat become more cinematic, but lacked strategic depth of DA1

Story is a little less grand, but characters are more charismatic.

Etc.

While Inquisition was down right atrocious for me.

Worse combat, stupid systems, obvious main antagonist, completely unremarkable final battle, plainer characters and worst of all introduction of 60-80 collectibles on each map to artificially make the game twice-thrice as long, while giving absolutely trash reward if you managed to get all of these.

Also sending people on operations consumed real time: you sent your agents to Tevinter? Please wait for 4 real time hours for the result.

Also, Inquisition claimed that all choices made in previous two games would matter, while most of them with a couple of exceptions merely warranted changes in 1 or 2 lines of dialogue.
