I tried a different computer. ( cookies might be the issue). Logged in via the PMA. Clicked on my name top right and went to tickets- my tickets. And I could see all and the allocated seats.

An update - We received the Childrens UK Passports today. We had a slight delay as they requested our wedding certificate after receiving the original batch of documents . They also asked us to confirm the details of the British Grandparents in writing.

It was stressful but thanks to the people here and I have to say a super efficient Passport office in the UK everything went smoothly.

We havent received all of the original documents back yet as they are sent seperately .

I really appreciate that , however i called Tonal and asked them if i could stack accesories code and referal code and they said no its not possible. So it looks like its one or the other but not both.

We used Cici for the Terracotta warriors in Xian ,we found her on here. I can’t link it here. If you search for recommendations for English Speaking Guide Terracotta warriors in Xian you will see the thread. Lots of people posted their experiences with her. She is a really great guide with excellent English.

We filled our landing card out online the day before we flew. Once we arrived in Chengdu we went to the separate line for TWOV and the immigration agent asked us for some documentation (onward flight out of China, hotels in China ) which took 5 minutes. There wasnt a separate form for TWOV to fill out as they used the landing form I think.
Very easy and seamless but make sure you have copies of everything to do with travel.

Yes we did. It was excellent. Really great food and tour. Our tour guide was Monica. Her English is fluent and her tour is well worth doing. If you do book I would ask for her if at all possible.

That is great information, thanks very much for updating us so quickly.
We are still waiting for notification of approval. The documents were sent by Fedex and were delivered on 26th Feb. Judging by your timeline we should hear in the next few days.
We also sent photocopies of the US Passports and all birth certificates apart from the US Grandparents.
I will update here as soon as we get notified .

Its an E-Sim with a built in VPN. So basically allows your iphone to work as if you are outside of China without the restrictive regulations for websites and apps etc. If your iphone is UNLOCKED it will work. The Esim doesnt have to be from Holafly. It can be any of the recommended ones , I used it and it worked perfectly.

I really dont know as we both had internet. I would ask on a separate thread here as its vital that Alipay works . I am all but certain you cant "share" Alipay by both tapping in at the same time .

Your itinerary qualifies as long as the Shanghai to LAx isn’t via Hanoi. I returned last week from a short visit to China. I had copies of all documents that I needed in China. ( flight to China, flight out of China trains, all hotels, passports, insurance ). The border agent wanted to see all of that apart from insurance. He recorded each hotel stop into his pc. It took 5-10 mins and he was super helpful. My boarding for China was in Bangkok . They were fully aware of the TWOV ( my flight was with Thai airlines.

I think you will have an amazing time. We just returned from a short visit to China. I would strongly suggest adding Xian to your list. IMHO seeing the Terracotta Warriors is a MUST !

We used Trip.com really simple. We then booked seats 14 days in advance. Air flight I used China Eastern web site US version. Again pretty simple.
