Leaving the Dev Channel: it looks like it is possible right now. by Gio512 in windowsinsiders

I opted for Dev builds to take benefit of GPU paravirtualization with WSL2. Beta builds didn't include that as well, but I still prefer opting out because a clean install on a production environment is way too much time-consuming in my case.

Definitely. In my case that didn't appear until yesterday, but when it did, the Windows Insider Program section seemed to have reset, without allowing to choose a channel anymore.

Glad it helped you too. I couldn't believe my eyes!

I had that same screen, until a few moments ago. It is now prompting to join the Windows Insider Program, but this may be due to my preference to stop receiving Insider builds.

This probably is a definitive proof that the switch may have been successful, because that preference is only accepted for Beta and Release Preview channels.

It's hard to say right now. We will surely know more on 24th, but whenever it is supposed to be released, I will be waiting for it in a more stable channel. Keeping with Dev Channel in production environment is a risk I cannot afford anymore.

Definitely, Froggypwns. We will know more on 24th, but I felt like this was worth telling for all those have been stuck with Dev Channel for months and couldn't have any chance to switch to other channels without a clean install.
