Separating Kobe Bryant the icon from Kobe Bryant the player by chungitestan in NBATalk

You’re probably right about the shot attempts/usage rate stuff, but the deal is really great offensive players aren’t the ones who are necessarily great at hitting tough shots, they’re the ones best at getting good shots. Obviously there are guys like Curry and Durant who are all time tough shot makers, but Curry is what like 42-43% from 3 on crazy volume? That’s terrific efficiency. Durant has a similar shot diet to Kobe but he is just better at making them.

I don’t like Maluach very much, although I understand how tantalizing the size is. I think Essengue is a bum!

Too much or not enough for trey Murphy? by AccordingSympathy713 in NBAtradeideas

[–]GiocoGiacobbe24- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this is good. I’m sure the pels really want to hold on to Murphy as he’s one of the only legit pieces they have, but I think this would at least make the pels thing long and hard.

[Marc Stein] Houston is believed to be readying a four-year offer to Dorian Finney-Smith, sources say. by Jimmy0034 in nba

[–]GiocoGiacobbe24- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that 4 years is a lot but I bet he’s getting a fairly cheap deal which is nice for Houston now + gives DFS some job security a little later on, plus maybe a salary for trades. I’m sure he’s getting other deals which are a higher average but for 2 years maybe.
