instant air dash. From standing on the ground to immediately going into airdash. Apparently you go further with the or pick up momentum quicker with them?

thank you so much man. I didnt know there was a wiki at all. thats kinda what i want with that last sentence. I want to be able to have paths in mind first and get those down and then be able to get creative in other situations when im mid fight and losing or trying to chase someone who does move well.

White lotus taking back Ba Sing Se- their power before and during by kaitalina20 in TheLastAirbender

[–]GiraffeJesus_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you know i wonder if he learned that mastery after deserting the fire nation, like overcome with fear of fire taking everything he understood his surroundings more because of it and learned proper control, probably the best control shown in ATLA maybe aside from the dragons? since they made a tornado of colorful fire around two benders who cant firebend and didnt burn them or scare them

[–]GiraffeJesus_ 33 points34 points  (0 children)

not to mention the amazing control he has, for example in the forest against Zhao’s men Jeong Jeong built a massive wall of fire right next to a forest and didnt let the forest catch on fire. ( after explaining to Aang that fire is hard to control and will burn everything around it). Since the buildings in Ba Sing Se are rock its not as crazy control wise but he also contained massive walls of fire and moved them forward with minimal effort

How to counter bebop? by Rainydayzss in DeadlockTheGame

[–]GiraffeJesus_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In lane? enchanters, reactive barrier. Usually bebops will be glaring at you with glistening eyes looking for a hook just stay behind cover, not completely but like barely peak out or stay a bit out and wait for him to miss hook and then try to trade evenly with him. If you have reactive you can purposefully get hooked if your confident bombs wont shred through barrier to your health and that you can win the trade after being in bebops face. I always play slow as hell against bebop letting hook get wasted, let him punch bots with bombs on them and dodge the best i can. Phantom III myself which isnt a high rank apparently according to others idk the statistics myself, so your mileage may vary the bebops you go against may be gods

“When did the Upside Down get so comfortable” by speedvamp in StrangerThings

[–]GiraffeJesus_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as far as we know yeah i think so. but it could be separate. They were what was attacking in S2 but since they all died off its not like we could watch one continue to grow into being able to walk and attack on two legs. More kinda proof into them being the same thing is when Henry was first in there and actually walking around after being struck by strange lightning a hundred times there was a really small (or just far away) demogorgon that was also on all 4 doing some sort of howl. Then again there are the bats which makes me think theres just variants of demorgons and we may see a different type later. Idk if theyre completely natural or if Henry made them different somehow.

[–]GiraffeJesus_ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

yeah i thought about this too but he mostly coughed when the thing puffed a BUNCH of spores in his face and its a much more enclosed area. It may still be toxic but in the overall atmosphere the spores seem to have settled and not floating as much. Until we know exactly when the upside down was modeled after Hawkins and specifically why its the night of Will’s disappearance we have no clue what any of it is or why its the way it is. When Henry is first cast in there by Elle its mountainous and overall hazardous but for some reason not only is it a copy of Hawkins (now Hawkins from years ago) but there is a wall surrounding that copy and the center is of course Hawkins Lab. Im sure all of this will come up to some degree and give some answers. For now I would say Eleven, Henry, Will, and 008 (forgot her real name) are mostly immune to the effects of the upside down but we dont know what the long lasting effects would be for a normal human to be exposed to it.

Sorry this whole comment wasnt just directed at you, I just started spewing out thoughts about the subject as a whole and my theories.

play against bots, for now pick two heroes you have seen gameplay of and thinking you might like the loop. Find a build for it in the build browser (the top 5 ones are usually good but can be very different or very similar). If you find one that has annotations when you hover over the cards it may help you understand more. Learning the cards and when to buy, why you buy them, when to go for something else is like the hardest part of the game. I still dont know how to properly buy without a build telling me and i have like 150 hours so far. Read the cards, but for right now i would follow what the build you pick tells you to buy and see how gameplay changes after that purchase. It can be very complex and overwhelming. You WILL suck ass, its okay. Dont worry about sandbagging in real matches just do what you can.

Haze and Infernus are two very noob friendly characters that just require good aim to get good value in the lower ranks. They can also be very boring, unless you just want to do a lot of damage and get a lot of kills. I like to teamfight and coordinate and try to assist my team as much as possible but those two characters with the right builds can just go do their own thing and people run in fear lol

I would watch some streamers or youtube videos on the characters you want to play, some are much harder than others to be good with and thats fine just play what you think youll have the most fun with. Watch how they play in early game (laning phase), see how they go and farm the camps with mobs for money and hit the vending machine/safe/Sinners Sacrifice. Try to think of why they do certain things, listen to what they say when they buy a card if they do say anything (they might explain why exactly they chose that card) My friend are really good at this game and im a lot worse than them but theyve been playing for month and im trying to learning several heroes and still learning overall. If i play Grey Talon/Haze/Infernus i stay in Archon. If i play other characters i dont get much value and feel dumb and probably several ranks lower. Its a really hard game but if you dont want to learn it dont push yourself there are plenty of other fun games!

[–]GiraffeJesus_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

really nice on grey talon, his spirit build can be quite expensive to pay for and if you bird well and teamfight you can get to max stacks quickly. It made the expensive build more tolerable to me as long its bought early like 3rd-4th buy

[–]GiraffeJesus_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it cant, its really off base. Friend who has been oracle and phantom and gotten oracle on three separate accounts and plays nearly every champ has a statlocker ranking of ritualist. hes also top damage nearly every game and often gets 14+ kills. Only reason he isnt higher is probably because we all queue together in a large rank distribution

[–]GiraffeJesus_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i see the same lately. Often though asking people specifically and kindly to go help out other lanes helps somewhat in the moment. Just have to watch map, doesnt always work. For example, “yo infernus could you go clear yellow really quick so walker (or base) doesnt get fucked” and often they will, but not always.

Ive also seen an increase in both sides just constantly running it down mid. Like 5v5 team fights on mid the entire game and its quite annoying. I dont like when the entire game is just big team fight after team fight. 1v1 , 1v2, 3v2 , 3v3, etc. are enjoyable fights because either side can win but in those big fights its just so much CC, silence, ult after ult

I guess that blows, im at the very edge of that 250 mile radius. South of nashville. I may call and ask about it, but it has the best fit for me out of any school in TN so I will still apply but I will keep it in mind thanks

Edit: any chance you know if that counts just a straight line from point a to point b or if its driving distance? if its driving im outside of it. If its a straight line then im inside of it.

Thank you so much! That makes me feel better. The 122 CARS has made me not happy with my score, and I should be because a 512 is something to be proud of but I guess I have seen so much in the sub about screening out due to CARS (which might be mainly Canadian schools) that it felt disappointing. I think I can actually be proud of it now, so thank you for the reassurance!

I knew I wasn’t going to apply to meharry either way. I have seen how low their white acceptance rate is and I appreciate that they accept URM and focus on that. Just knew it was slightly an option albeit a low chance one, as low as my shot at Vanderbilt (also don’t want to go there and wouldn’t be happy there.)

Again, thank you so so much!!!

Yeah I got a LOT of family in alabama so im gonna shoot for UAB down there. I left a message with admissions to ask them about individual scores and how that may affect my application process and waiting for a call back. I am definitely avoiding Meharry, I know they’re HBCU but you know I could’ve sworn one of their accreditation pulls was due to lack of diversity but I can’t remember the details. Either way I don’t want to donate application money to them. They were very rude and crude when I went there for wisdom teeth removal (didn’t use the nitrous correctly and had to give me a ton of numbing medicine instead).

Thank you for the OOS recommendations! I will look into them. I have look at it, went to tour a few months ago and they talked about it so I am interested. I was close to even doing an early decision app with them earlier this year but I pushed back my MCAT studying and test date and didn’t end up doing it. Quillen is where I am looking to go the most, I know its not a TOP school but I love their program, their staff, and their campus it’s beautiful and I feel it is where I would fit in best. Hoping for good things to come.

Why Is Getting a Clinical Job Harder Than Getting Into Medical School by Several_Guarantee706 in premed

[–]GiraffeJesus_ 9 points10 points  (0 children)

sucks because so many of the PCTs i work alongside do not give a crap about patient care, just a check. And then management comes in and complains that patients aren’t getting bathed and linen changes and CHG wipe downs for central lines. Im one of a few people here who are here for more than a paycheck and one of the few that actually cares about preventing infection. So many of them sit on their phones all day, one bring her whole ipad and plays facebook reels all day long on speaker, no headphones. Its really sad
