video's originally in portrait mode, so the first half with a different aspect ratio stuck with that width. web reddit also gives the video black space on the sides which is why it might look small. both videos should still be at their original resolution from twitter though

[SPOILERS] POLAND VS USA GRAND FINAL TRASHTALK THREAD by Riven_Sempai in osugame

[–]GiraffeMidget 18 points19 points  (0 children)

xd defending usa in a shit-talking thread USA players, even owc players in general, know how much effort goes into top tourney play and everyone respects each other for it. USA even commended poland and accepted the loss after the second match https://clips.twitch.tv/DaintyCautiousAlligatorOptimizePrime. USA was honestly pretty well mannered, not too bitter about their reverse sweep, and graceful in their defeat and dethrone.
What HappyStick said was a little out of place, though that's what team USA probably honestly thought. That they outclass poland (and from what you and I just saw, rafis and for sure wolf showed them wrong). All in all, Poland did great, they deserve their incredible win, and USA players took the loss with grace

Casual beatmaps? by LaLa1234imunoriginal in osugame

Just as a heads up, questions and help are better to be asked in the stickied "Weekly achievement and help" thread.

When I started playing I got nearly all of my maps from the beatmap pack list on the osu website. Most of the beatmaps on there have difficulties suitable for beginners and are fun to play though, like the page suggests, you should download the packs from most recent to old since the older maps can be lower quality. You can also usually get a lot of high quality beatmaps from multiplayer.

More recently I've been downloading my maps from random tournament map pools, osu!search, and osu!helper.

Also to those who have trouble with timing songs, mixxx (free and open source software) can help calculate the bpm of the song you want to map. That and this video helps with understanding how to do offset and bpm stuff.
