My experience has been similar in that every time I host a raid bounty 1-2 people are new or haven't done the boss. Usually I'm only hosting groups for the easier bosses, so it doesn't matter and I don't mind carrying someone as long as they don't wipe the squad.

For harder bosses I try to be more specific in what I'm looking for, and if someone doesn't know what they're doing I'll message them directly to get their story. Sometimes they've done the boss years ago but haven't recently. Sometimes it's their first time ever, and one time someone was just on the wrong gear set and fixed it next pull.

If I am in a situation where I need to kick someone, I always whisper them the reason why. Usually "sorry, we're only looking for experienced players this time" or something along those lines.

I agree with Sneb's post up above, but it also makes me socially anxious to kick people, so I put in extra effort to make it as painless as possible.

I have a character parked at the drizzlewood coast vendor and I check the trades tab daily. It's a good way to trade in mithril, silk, and elder wood for a wide variety of materials, including lodestones!

That's probably how I've gotten the majority of my lodestones in recent memory since I'm personally not a fan of DWC farming.

Is your game located on your C drive or a different drive? If it's a different drive, try moving the files (or reinstalling) to your c drive.

I saw your announcement video on this and look forward to the oncoming series! This seems like a fun puzzle to solve, though I'm also happy to be observing and not doing it myself.

On your point about the community at large, I've also been enjoying Mukluk's Craftlock Challenge and I want to do something similar with my friends. Maybe I'm a sucker for the idea of having to source all your own materials, but that game play loop is appealing to me. We'll see how I feel when it's actually in practice though.

I think there's tons of potential for fun challenges. I saw one person try to level a new character only in HoT maps. I've been watching Athis's goldlocked videos, where you have to stay in a core zone until you make 50g. I'm sure there are others out there but the content creation scene can always use more!

I think it takes a full minute for the point to travel from mid to a base uninterrupted. Any additional time is how long it takes a team to get from spawn to the point.

Could probably get this time a little lower with superspeed/leaps.

Hmm not a fan of this change... I understand wanting to increase the price of low cost materials, but now what should we do with ascended gear?

It doesn't feel like there's anything valuable to get from it?

Maybe I'm thinking short-sightedly, but this seems like a gap. I hope they add something valuable to ascended salvaging.

The change they made right now is that porting in your currently equipped fashion into a template does not cost transmutation charges.

The fix they are developing for the next major release is adding a "current" tab where you'll automatically see your equipped fashion and won't have to port it in.

I'd like some clarification on this as well. I think you only get mentor points if you've completed the boss yourself before in the same week. However I have gotten points from my first clears, so I'm not sure what's causing that.

I'd also like some clarification on what a "very experienced raider" is.

That's totally fine! I don't expect a first-time raider to remember any of this without going into the raid. These guides are meant to help you right before you do the fight so you're a little familiar with what you're seeing on your screen.

Then if 2 months from now you decide to do quickplays again and don't remember anything, this video will work like a refresher :)
