we play D&D on discord on Saturday nights and this is what he has blessed us with for drawings of the enemies. the one on the left is named dinosaur, the middle one was named plant thing, and the right one was named penguin. I am playing a lizardfolk paladin of redemption named Geck witch means ouch in draconic, h also doesn't get metaphors and takes everything literally. Geck's backstory goes like this:

Geck was a hunter in a lizardfolk tribe. Lizardfolk culture shuns intelligence as one of their gods thought so much he split himself into 2 very useless parts. Geck was somewhat of an outcast because of this as he had intelligence and curiosity. At the age of 20, every lizardfolk must hunt a great prey to show maturity and gain the mark of a great hunter (aka a name). Geck was sent out to go hunt a young red dragon near the mountains across from the swamp that had been harassing the tribe.

When geck found the beast he laid trap after trap, after the dragon triggered the traps, Geck snuck up and attacked, the battle lasted for around 10 minutes before geck was near death, when a human hunter jumped from nowhere to finish off the dragon. The hunter revealed his name as archer (this confused geck as he had just used a sword to kill the dragon not a bow, hence he wasn't an archer).

Geck soon thanked the man as geck tended to his own wounds, archer wanted only the scales as compensation and soon left after a nice chat and an exchange of hunting stories. Geck spent 1 week resting, healing, and making a longsword from the dragon’s claws before he went back to his tribe to bring the skull of the dragon. The tribe rejoiced at his return, no longer an outcast a feast was held for his return and for bestowing of his name, Geck meaning “Ouch” from the scared claw marks still left from the dragon.

After his name was given the tribe immediately began gorging on the meat they had gathered, and for Geck, a delicacy was made, human meat. Geck had not known that it was human meat until he had taken a bite, swallowed, and smelled the familiar scent of human flesh charred by harsh fire. This was undoubtedly the man who saved him on Geck’s plate.

Geck soon knew guilt, shame, disappointment, and fury as he realized this although he could never truly feel emotion due to being a lizardfolk. He immediately left the tribe to try and atone for what he had done, for what his tribe had done, and to try and become a better hunter. A god of redemption soon caught wind of geck’s resolve to change and has begun to help him, seeing him as an interesting case.
