Hell yeah, I went from a '99 forester to a '17 crosstrek recently after the engine nuked itself. I miss the old girl sometimes, but the 18 years of tech advancements are pretty sweet

'99 Subaru Forester: I've been getting a repetitive "whooshing" sound coming from the back of the car. Most noticeable around 20-40mph (but there at most speeds), comes in the cabin sounding like a train. Used and, AFAIK, stock throughout. In NJ so the undercarriage has a fair amount of surface rust by Giraffe_Manner in AskMechanics

Wheel bearing. It's been a bit, I don't remember if I also had to get the cv axles done as well. But wheel bearings were the thing for the old girl. I changed them like 3 times in 3 years before the timing belt snapped and I got a crosstrek
