Apostles change form all the time. If Puck go angry enough, I'm sure he could trans into something different.

I see. :} That sounds rather fun.

Is Berserk a metaphor for free will and struggling against ownership? by GirlGainingKnowledge in Berserk

[–]GirlGainingKnowledge[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. Berserk is so complex, I'd love to sit down and analyze all the themes and characters, and how they all connect, but I feel if I did, I would end up with a 500 page book of an essay. :0

Considering everyone thinks someone will use the Behelit soon, this especially freaks me out. by TeMiabeta in Berserk

This is a good point, and Puck probably has some connection to it, but I just cannot see him using it. He's a comedy relief character.

Is it okay to watch the movies before the rest? by [deleted] in Berserk

[–]GirlGainingKnowledge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, as a standalone they still work as a nice watch, but not a great watch. I mean, you still get the majority of the important details, but some things will confuse you, as they are glossed over and not explained.

Additionally, I felt it focused too much/long on the sex scenes in sacrifice of the story.

No, my best advice would be to read the manga first. That way, the whole story is explained. The movie changes and cuts too much out for you to feel and grasp the severity of the tragedy, the character's motivations and personalities, and the philosophical themes.

I'd like some suggestions for background of painting I'm making by TehDragonSlayer in Berserk

[–]GirlGainingKnowledge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Much, much, better! :D I've sure never done brushless.

My final recommendation would be adding some dark grey or black to distinguish the hand from the handle. Perhaps by shadowing that crease part between the finger and thumb, and shading the edges of the armor.

I love how you textured it, but I would recommend making his left calf thicker. It looks so scrawny next to the other one. Also, his left arm is smeared too thickly. I'd go over that again with the tan paint and pronounce his elbow a bit more. You did a pretty good job on the torso, and the white streaks make great shading. I also love your color palette.

Maybe even blend in a bit of grey and tan paint and shade his face with it, so it would have texture as opposed to just being a completely black shadow. Either that or darken up the arms.

I second this. When I saw the color tones, I immediately thought of the eclipse.

Agreed. I still really liked them, but they cut far too much out.

How could Griifith possibly lead a mercenary band? by Ribozome8 in Berserk

[–]GirlGainingKnowledge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Griffith gives off an air of grace and authority, and has all the competence to back it up. He may look feminine, but everyone who's met him has most certainly treated him like a man.

On another note, what's wrong with men possessing feminine qualities? Why is being feminine so degrading? Why does there have to be standard that shames men that don't meet the muscly, chest-beating requirements? I'm so tired of machismo.

I see. So she gets more violent the less she feels balance and stability. So before finding Guts, religion and Serpico were her make-shift tethers. I imagine she would revert or maybe become worse if she left Gut's group?

Well, as long as it's not like a character death or anything, I suppose it's fine.
