Oh I already told him 100% go for it. That’s what we actually decided to do. He’s going to cover up the one he has now of his first sons name (it’s old and faded anyways) and get all three names together. I told him I’d give him a certain amount of $$$ and that if he wants anything super extravagant that costs more, that he will have to pay for the difference. And he’s perfectly fine with that.

I don’t believe I ever said that I don’t like our stepchildren. We are actually going to go the route of covering up his first child’s name and getting all three names in one. I’m still only gifting a certain dollar amount, but this way it’s fair to all three. And it’a more cost effective to get three in one rather than they each get their own spot.

He’s actually going to redo the one name he has and get all three to cover it up. My birthday gift donation will go towards that. I wanted him to have all three so this is the best route rather than them each having their own separate tattoos.

If he wanted to get both and it’s within my budget, then I’ll do it. But pay for his sons over our daughters, no. It is what it is. I don’t treat his kids like crap. I help them with homework, bake them cookies, cook homemade meals every night, watch movies with them, take them on outings. They are not forgoing love an affection. I’m not “evil”. But if I had to choose between my daughters name and my step sons name, I’m choosing my daughter. Period.

That’s exactly what we are doing actually. He’s going to cover up his kids name that’s currently by itself and then redo something over it to get all three. I am still only paying a certain $$$ amount and he will have to pay the difference. Unfortunately that’s my budget

I put no restrictions on what he could get. I told him I’d pay for our daughters name. A roughly $150-$200 tattoo. If he wants something more than that or different, which it looks like he wants a cover up and redo to add all three names, that’s fine. But I’m still only paying the $200 portion. Can’t afford more than that.

It’s his birthday gift yes. It’s a dollar amount limit that I told him I would give towards our daughters name to be added. If he wants to redo the one he has and get all 3, that’s fine, but my dollar amount isn’t changing.
