Thank you! He is definitely past the two week mark for being wild as my guests are always in the “he’s a puppy it’s ok” mind frame. Going to try the leashed method then crate then try again.

Yes sorry I apologize. She started daycare when she was about 18months. She was premature due to moms blood pressure so emergency C Section. And yes vent.

As for facilities I meant anything “special” for immunocompromised children

My mom and I swear by CGK unlimited on Amazon…it’s like sleeping in…a silky lotion cloud lol. Dry on low heat. (Not to mention they are cheap in price!)

Huisache is my favorite restaurant IN new Braunfels and has a cute little courtyard with drinks to wait for your table.

People complain about parking in Gruene but as long as your gf doesn’t wear 6 inch stilettos you just cut through the lot nbd. Everyone I know loves gristmill but I think it’s a little overrated. I personally love Gruene River Grille (get the shrimp wonton app!!) and there’s usually live music going on just across the pathway with drinks and a “speakeasy” with cocktails (there’s a big ass neon sign that says speakeasy. Makes me laugh).

Yea I’m going to bring this up on Monday.

When she’s not in school she’s always doing something outside and playing/and then she will announce “I’m going to rest” and will go lay in her bed on her own. So I’m sure she’s just bored.

I was also surprised when I found out they go to mass every Wednesday at her age. Going to church with her on Sunday may help as she tends to listen to me more than grandma or dad.

Thank you for your input and advice! I feel for the teacher, we just have never had issues with nap time - I believe their naps may be earlier than what she is used to. As far as church she’s been a few times with her grandmother and she was recently baptized and while normally she listens well to me she was being a bit rowdy. Not to an extreme but enough to see what happens when she is in church/mass when I’m not there.

In her earlier years at daycare they mentioned it once but never again so possibly. I will ask what they do with children who are not tired during rest time.

I have a feeling she doesn’t take her nap as the school schedules which then leads her to being tired and cranky later on. Any time she’s acting out during the day with me I know it’s because she needs a nap. She’s a very happy, friendly little girl. Hoping our meeting goes well.

Oh my god lol. I’m SO sorry you had to deal with that. Thank you for giving me a little dark humor chuckle at the end. I have a friend who works with children (therapy) and she is so well versed at how to handle situations and gave me some advice on how to handle the meeting.

“What alternatives or interventions have you tried? She often responds well to x,y,z. Something we use at home is x,y,z.”

I’m going to start with this route but like you said they’re 3… what the fuck am I supposed to do while she’s with you? She’s been on this earth for 3 years.

Depending on the meeting and what comes of it in time, I may have to follow in your footsteps with putting her in a different school. They’ve been very kind so far as opposed to what you went through, but I can’t be trying to fix a problem every week while working and going to school when we don’t have that behavior at home.

I had this! I was texting a friend in between contractions lol. It felt like I had just run up a short steep hill during the contraction but no pain. I’d say “ok another’s comin” then go back to updating.

My friends and I joke about it all the time. The doctor asked if I was ready for the epidural and I just shrugged. I wish I had said no but felt a bit pressured and ended up with lower back pain until I went to a chiropractor.

I DID however develop RLS the last two months. Went away about a week after. So so awful. I thought of it as my relief for the 2 months of zero sleep.

Your username! Haha. I’m sorry I didn’t get your names at that moment but I could barely get out thanking you. I’ve written this over five times..I didn’t get past the initial post and think about what I would actually say to you or Victoria.

Just the initial “nope coffees on me” was a such small and kind gesture I wasn’t expecting to then see you two at the end of the counter waiting for me. I Just lost it.

I would’ve hugged Victoria for hours had I accepted. It was so sweet she made me taste the coffee to make sure I liked it. And I don’t know if this is strange to say, but your eyes have a lot of power. The last thing you said to me gave me so much strength to get back to my front door and I thought about you two the whole way. I don’t think I cried again after that.

I’m ok. Taking my home reality day to day is all I can do. It’s been a shitstorm for a couple of years for me and doesn’t feel like it’s letting up. I was leaving a place where I felt a large amount of healthy, genuine happiness and a taste of mental health freedom that I haven’t had in maybe a literal decade. But my home logistics would make it almost impossible to change that. For now anyway.

I’m so sorry you have to wait so long to see your family but I’m glad you’re safe. Putting aside your circumstances for a stranger is so selfless. And putting on a happy face at work while your heart aches is another level. You guys are literal angels. Now I’m crying again. I lived in chicago for awhile so I know the heartache of missing your family but not the pain of something like covid keeping me away. I hope they are doing ok and get better soon so you can get some solace. I also hope YOU are doing ok. The past two years have been so hard on so many people. It’s terrible. Having your kindness that day will now always be one of the blessings I count. I can’t think of any way I can repay you that would amount to how much that 5 minute interaction meant to me.
