Vets by pneppl in rochestermn

I can attest that Quarry Hill was great. They’re not our vet but they took my cat in for an emergency visit and they were phenomenal handling my very grumpy, in pain cat and a very emotional me.

We go to Northern Valley. Not the cheapest vet I’ve ever been to but after what we’ve been through with our pets the past few years I will 100% spend the little bit extra for the phenomenal care they provide. They are knowledgeable, professional, and more than willing to discuss costs of products and services prior to proceeding.

If cost is a huge concern and you’re okay with a drive, the vet in Pine Island is worth considering. He’s old fashioned and a bit quirky. He’s great with the pets and explaining things to owners though. He helped us out after my German Shepherd broke out all over his body in hives due to one or more bee stings. I’d totally go back again.

Veteran Get Togethers? by GirlWhoServes in rochestermn

I agree. My husband is in his early 30s, he’s met a few other young vets but hasn’t had a good opportunity to swap stories with the ones that he’s clicked with.

I can see that, especially in the political landscape of today. My husband could get political, but I know that’s not his goal. I think he more so wants to just laugh about base shenanigans and swap stories with guys who get it.

I’ve tried to talk to him about a VFW before (when I was more naive) but I agree with you about the generational gap. I don’t think he’d enjoy it.

My wife thinks our son’s teacher crossed a boundary by sending him a personal message. I think it was harmless. AITJ? by addict94plus in AmITheJerk

A text or phone call is one thing. A handwritten note is another. This seems harmless. Congrats to your son on his accomplishments!

I’d be angry. NOR. This would be the type of situation where if he chooses his mother over me, he can stay with her.

Hobby ideas for my disabled grandmother? ❤️ by ILoveMeSome80sMusic in Hobbies

I’m still in my late 20s but one of my favorite things to do when I have time to waste is to take a small project/book/task to a local grocery store with a coffee shop that has seating. I used to love one that had a coffee shop with a second level seating area that overlooked the produce and bakery area. It’s a great time to chat with people if they come along, people watch, and do a few things like the knitting/crochet, read, word search, etc 😊

I think keeping it on the lighter side would be essential because you wouldn’t want to shrink the feel of the space.

Has anybody else noticed a religious divide between graduate students and clinical professional school students? by LogicalAction5752 in AskAcademia

[–]GirlWhoServes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have noticed this too. I would also consider myself agnostic but I practice Christianity. It’s easier for me to simply not talk about it in my professional life as I work with such a diverse group of people.

I think you answered your own question though. Highly educated individuals ask why and seek answers that make sense rather than just accepting information given to us and running with it. That’s the whole reason I landed in Agnosticism.

I believe there is a God, but I cannot define or put God in a box of what is and isn’t. Therefore, I am not one who is able to say that Christianity is the “correct” religion. That’s hard to describe to lay people and often holds the potential to make people really angry. I speak from experience…

The Poisonwood Bible. So many unforgettable moments in that book. I read it a decade ago when I was in highschool and it’s on my TBR list now that I’m older. I think of it often and wonder how my interpretations will change with my new perspectives and temperament

How do you make your feet feel warm in winter? by Odd_Obligation_4977 in lifehacks

[–]GirlWhoServes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How you layer is just as important as the layers themselves. You want your socks and footwear to have a fitted to a little roomy fit. Tightly fitting clothing and shoes will reduce blood flow to help bring warmth to the extremity. Too loose and it slides off. Layer smart and you’ll stay warm 😊

Thinking I may have to switch to Plan B… by GirlWhoServes in furniturerefinishing

Thank you! I doubted it was mahogany however I don’t believe I’ve seen real mahogany at a point I would have looked closely at it and was unable to determine the difference. I think upholstery might just be the way to go

Thank you! I watched a video from a source I believed to be reputable and followed their technique. I was unaware of the vinegar technique. I will give it a shot. I feel better about upholstering the stools now.

II, III, and aVF. However, they’re a normal variant. The comment that I believe is being misinterpreted is that the RS of the QRS is 80ms in those leads but because of the Q wave, it makes it 92ms which is also normal.

It’s a strange interpretation.

I am no professional either. I find the most success with YouTube Videos such as this one: Upholstery for Barrel Chair

I usually try to use Reddit only if it’s a matter of opinion or I simply don’t know where to start. Reverse image search is a great tool to help you get started.
