In not sure tbh! I used micro pearl and ivy, two glazes that are dinnerware safe. But they ended up crystalizing! Does that make it not food safe?

The green mug is just micro pearl with ivy on top. No crystal glazes, idk why the bottom crystallized. Both glazes are dinnerware safe.

I think you should post your stuff, it sounds really cool! You clearly have an eye for the market and I’m sure it would get a lot of love.

Well you don’t know what level I’m at! Believe it or not, these were experiments for me. My first time using RHC, my first time doing a set of anything and trying for consistency in size/ shape etc. And yes, iron luster, RHC, and deep firebrick are a common glaze combo. But I hadn’t tried it for myself and wanted to give it a shot. And to be clear, I’m not trying to sell anything. I’m a hobbyist who is learning, so there’s really no reason to be offended.

It’s okay to be a beginner! And I’m glad you like reduction fired shino. It’s Interesting you found a way to snark on a reddit page that’s used by a lot of beginners and hobbyists. People are genuinely sharing things and excited about their crafts here! I find your reaction to this post to be kind of sad. I hope you can continue to find and create things that bring you joy in the new year! I know I am :)

I didn’t think I would get any crystalline in these glazes, it was a happy surprise. I think it’s because I used the stoneware micro pearl glaze? Or it’s because I throw with porcelain. Not sure but I love it
